ATTENTION PUBLIC: Village Of Addison, Illinois, Hosts Two Businesses – Open To The Public – That Are Managed By A Child Sexual Predator

Posted on 24. Mar, 2010 by in Announcements

Apparently the Village of Addison does not care enough to prevent children in their community from being exposed to child sexual predators. Therefore, KTF Media is here to help. Personally, I am shocked that the owners of Venuti’s Banquets would allow such a deplorable situation to occur. I have to say this poor decision by the owners of Venuti’s takes away from their other decision to employ Mafia Princess Jeannine Fratto – daughter of Chicago Outfit member, Rudy Fratto.

KTF Media Group will be sending Illinois State Governor Pat Quinn a letter asking that His Honor seriously consider mandating all registered sex offenders to list the address of their place of employment on the sex offender’s website. Right now sex offenders are only required to list their place of residence.

If anyone agrees or disagrees with me, please share your thoughts in a comment below.

Always keep watch over your children – especially in Addison, Illinois! Thank you and be safe.

Update 3/31/10
Attention Readers:
This afternoon one of my assistants contacted the owner of Venuti’s Banquets in Addison, Illinois. Mr. Frank Venuti claims that he had no prior knowledge of his catering director’s history and he has since terminated Mr. Battaglia. Mr. Venuti has extended an invitation to KTF Media Group to randomly inspect his establishment to make sure this is the case.

I will not visit Venuti’s ever again. I will tell my family to inform all of their friends that Venuti’s never seriously considered the risk in having someone like Battaglia have exposure to children that attend weddings where alcohol is served.

Why did the Village of Addison not know this? Or, why did they not prevent it?

  • Tom J.

I feel the same way as Frank & won’t go to Nana’s ….. That’s a real SCUMBAG when you prey on kids

Little type o I meant won’t go to either place Nana’ & Venuti’s

  • Moof

What does Fratto’s daughter do at the restaurant?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Moof,

    Rudy’s daughter is a server.

  • Gazoo the Wizard

    Joe,

I know this is off the topic, but it’s just a quick question that I have.
Please respond as soon as you get a chance.
I was just wondering why the mob usually chooses pornography businesses/adult bookstores when it comes to the extortion part of their rackets. I might even be wrong about this, but it seems like they’ve done this a lot in the past.

    Thanks.

  • Kite Blankie

Dear Mr. Joseph Fosco (Publisher of KTF),

Is 64-year-old Frank J. Battaglia (of 906 Dolores, Bensenville, Illinois) related to Sam ‘Teets’ Battaglia?

Also, what is the nature of Frank’s crime?

PLEASE don’t tell me he got caught diddling some youngster. If he got caught diddling kiddies, then that is really just totally FCUKED! Someone needs to report this DIRECTLY TO THE RESTAURANT!

I agree that TOUCHERS MUST BE STOPPED. Mr. Gazoo the Wizard, if you disagree with what I am saying please let me know since I notice that you are trying to change the topic of conversation to something else.

  • Joseph Fosco

In my opinion, the adult bookstore business takes a real ‘interesting’ person to operate the business – I could not do it. How do you tell your family what you are doing for a living? The sorts of ‘interesting’ people that engage in this kind of moneymaking enterprise fall in the same mentality as street thugs, which make good targets for extortion situations – street thugs with a lucrative income. Without the police, shakedowns of adult bookstores would not exist. Dirty cops make the bookstore operator believe it is necessary to pay protection, despite the business not being illegal.
    Strange.

  • Joseph Fosco

My previous comment was meant for Gazoo.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Kite,

I do not know if Frank is related to “Teets.” I plan to look in to it.

Frank was arrested and convicted of a sex crime when he was in his mid 40′s involving a 16-year old (I assume girl).

  • CONCERNED CITIZEN!!!!!!!!

I THINK I’M GOING TO CANCEL MY WEDDING PLANS AT VENUTI’S. I HAVE MANY COUSINS THAT HAVE YOUNG KIDS, SO I’M SURE THAT THEY WON’T FEEL CONFORTABLE WITH A SEXUAL MANIAC PRESENT!!!!!!VENUTIS’S SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR PUTTING SUCH A PERSON LIKE THAT IN CHARGE.

AND ON THE SAME NOTE, THEY SHOULD EXAMINE ONE OF THE OWNERS(FRANK VENUTI). HE SURE LOOKS LIKE HE WOULD FIT IN THE SEXUAL PREDATOR DISCRIPTION AS WELL.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Concerned,

I feel your pain. However, I must insist that your opinion of Frank Venuti be regarded as a suspicion. Thank you.

  • United Against Pervs

    Dear Joe,

In my OPINION, the following physical attributes and behavioral traits can sometimes be dead-giveaways that someone is a pervert or offender of some sort:

    -baldness
    -wearing a mustache
    -wearing out of style sunglasses
-walking around, hands in pockets, while smirking
    -holding binoculars
    -incessant perspiration
-wearing trousers with the seat cut out, so as to display the bare buttocks
    -slicked back hair
    -nervous laughter
-raspy, high-pitched, or effeminate sounding voice
-an erection that is noticeable through the pants
-driving a van (especially windowless Econolines)
-curious knowledge of children’s television programs
-pacing back and forth by a window
    -Indiana residency
    -wearing a trench coat
    -patronizing public libraries
    - talking about other people’s privates and about yours
-grabbing boobs and butts and then saying “just kidding” when the victim recoils

Some peverts are obvious and others are very secretive, Joe.

Joe, I have a few questions. First, what do you think of my list? I xeroxed it and handed it out after mass two weeks ago, complete with the police department’s contact information on it. If you would like to add to this list, I’ll do another pressing. Also, do you know of any other pervs, deviants, or predators that you plan on writing articles about?

  • United Against Pervs

    Dear Joe,

    I forgot:

    -hiding in the bushes

…which is a classic perv peeping tactic.

Joe, what really pisses me off about pervs is that after they have perpetrated a crime, I bet they are proud of themselves for having grabbed (what they consider to be) some pretty sweet ass.

Please don’t forget about my other comments.

    Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear United,

Your list is very interesting. I guess I would add ‘single men that hang out in the forest preserves’. However, your description of hair or lack of and hair styles might be a stretch (if you are serious).

I am not trying to stereotype, I am merely reporting the findings of our judicial system.

If I discover other convicted sex offenders working or living in questionable places, I will report it.

I helped establish http://www.CCOCommission.org a couple of years ago. It was geared towards clergy, however, the CCOC will answer cries of help from anyone.

  • mr. drumond

    J.F.,

i’ll never forget the way i learned about perverts.

do you remember the show Different Strokes? well, there was this one episode that guest starred Gordon Jump as a pedophile bicycle-shop owner, who sexually molested Arnold’s friend Dudley. if memory serves, the molester also attempted to “get” Arnold, too.

the episode came at a good time for the show, which had been in a downward spiral for some time. the molester episode boosted its flagging ratings and was credited somewhat for bringing the crime of molestation and its warning signs more into the public eye.

however, the show’s producers ran into problems when they realized they couldn’t have Dudley get molested in every episode. Different Strokes was cancelled shortly thereafter, but not until after they stooped to creating the obnoxious “Sam” character (played by Danny Cooksey). there was an episode where Sam was kidnapped, but wasn’t raped, as his kidnapper wasn’t a molester but a insane grieving father who missed his recently deceased son.

this raises an interesting question. why is the American public so interested in watching shows about molestation? Law and Order: “SVU” is mainly about men who try to rape innocents. a journalist once said that Americans have pedophilia-philia, meaning we enjoy vicariously experiencing the exploits of offenders via TV programs.

as a member of the media, do you have an opinion on this?

do you plan to contact venuti’s directly and demand an explanation?

  • mr. drumond

    JF,

i think it’s important that the people interested in your article and its comments should all take 8 minutes and 4 seconds to watch this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm535nFNZIo

    thank you.

  • mr. drumond

for those who don’t have 8 minutes and 4 seconds, here’s the most important part:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwGaNXBPAIs&feature=related#t=05m17s

    Dudley has an excellent father.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Mr. D,

Your insight is appreciated, however its a little deep for me. I am not saying I disagree with you. Thanks for the video, I watched it and remember it. Sick stuff.

I do not plan to contact Venuti’s for an explanation. However, I have contacted 3 village officials from Addison (via email), asking why a business – open to the public – can have a sex offender as a manager. I have not heard back from them. I contacted the village manager, a community coordinator and the chief of police. Again, I have not received a response as of yet.

  • Addison Resident

    Mr. Fosco
I am just curious, with all the registered sexual predators in that area, according to the Illinois Sexual Offender Registry web site there are at least 5 known in that town, why did you picked this Mr. Battaglia character to report about? Do you know him and hasn’t he already paid his debt to society? Though I do agree these people do need to be continually watched vilifying will do nothing positive for the situation. Was there a reason you made known his place of employment with the knowledge it would most likely hurt that business and possibly even endanger people there? There are a lot of extremist people out there looking for just one reason to hurt others. Is it not possible the owners were not aware of his conviction? Why did you find it necessary to mention Fratto’s daughter worked there? Did she do something to you? Is this restaurant wrong for giving a servers job to the daughter of some gangster or does she not deserve to make an honest living just like you do because of the sins of her father? I love your column but it seems odd to me that you just picked this guy seemingly out of nowhere and then found it necessary to throw her name in there and possibly ruin a good restaurants reputation. I know none of these people but am just curious Mr. Fosco. Is this responsible journalism?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Addison Resident,

One of my readers brought Battaglia’s position to my attention. The reader made a sincere complaint related to Battaglia’s conduct in a matter regarding her. I think my public announcement is an extremely responsible piece of work. I am disappointed that owners of Venuti’s might not be aware of their managers background – if they are aware of it, I would be disgusted. I believe the Village of Addison should have a program in place that catches people like Battaglia that hold major positions as general manager of businesses in their town, businesses that sell alcohol that are open to the public. Banquet halls have children running around at weddings all the time.

In answer to your question about Fratto’s daughter, “did she do something to you?” – yes, she did. She threatened me at her fathers sentencing hearing. Please read the details by clicking on Rudy’s name in the article above.

    Thank you.

  • Bloomingdale Res.

    Mr Fosco
Obviously you do have something againist Venuti’s. What is the correlation between mob princess and sexual predator? What is the point to let people know that Mr. Fratto’s daughter works there? I had my wedding there and the Venuti family is great, I dealt with Frank Battaglia and he was very professional and kind. What someone did or was ACCUSED of should not matter 20 years later. People need to move on with their lives move past the wrong doings, if there were any. I think you should have researched alittle more before you threw so many people under the bus.

  • mr. drumond

this article is responsible, and i believe Joe is doing public service.

think about which is the greater cause for concern – the (remote) possibility of some vigilante going to Venuti’s to carry out some kind of street justice on Battaglia, or the potential for young women or children to cross paths with someone identified by the State of Illinois as a predator.

Addison and Bloomingdale Residents obviously didn’t watch the Diff’rent Strokes videos i provided links to.

  • Addison Resident

Thanks for answering Mr. Fosco and now I understand why you wrote the article. I agree if this Battaglia is still out there being a predator then any means of getting him off the street are good means. I now see the reasoning behind announcing Villa Venuti’s association with it. As for the Fratto girl she gets what she deserves I guess. Thanks again.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bloomingdale Res,

If you feel that Battaglia deserves a pardon, contact the Illinois Prisoner Review Board and file a petition on his behalf. If Quinn grants it, send a copy to me and I will post it on KTF. Until then I will rely on the Illinois Sex Offenders Website. For Illinois to publish Battaglia’s name and photo 15-years later, it must have be a serious crime. Again, if Battaglia is deserving of a pardon as you make it seem he might be, go get him one.

Perhaps you could read, or, reread my previous message (10:08 pm), which addresses some of your questions.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Oop’s, I meant to say 20-years later…

In fact, Illinois did not have a Sex Offenders Website 20-years ago. It makes me wonder how bad the crime was that Illinois made him register all these years later. Any sex crime against someone, especially a minor is awful.

  • Joseph Fosco

Perhaps we’ll hear from the victim what he or she has to say?

  • seth

i read the commentary and i’d like to let everyone know that while a molester might think he’s got his hands on some totally prime piece of ass, he’s really got his hands on a sweet piece of prison time and public scorn. when a pedo is rummaging around down the front of some poor kid’s underpants he may think he’s in heaven, but he’s actually going to hell. pederasts are the worst because their acts are VERY violent.

molesters and pedos are not to be glorified. sexual predators and fondlers are not the heroes of society, being a ass clown or pedo is not something to shoot for. what about that do you not understand?

    • The General Population

      Dear Mr. Fosco,

I suspect that this post by “seth” is not his own. This is a passage DIRECTLY taken from “Venus and Adonis” by The Poet himself, William Shakespeare, is it not?

Clearly, we are dealing with a case of plagiarism here.

      • Joseph Fosco

        Dear The General,
I am unfamiliar with Seth’s post. I will try to look at it when I have the time. Thanks.

  • john s.

Fratto’s daughter is a server and you are mad about that?? Is she not suppose to work?? Dont blame the father’s kid for the sins of her father.

  • Mark

Check out the Trib. The cops found a huge stash of evidence in Calabrese’s residence, including taped conversations with many other mobsters, seven guns probably used in crimes and copious amounts of stolen jewelry.

No doubt every Outfit guy from Brideport to St. Louis is crapping their pants right about now.

Sounds like it could be the nail in the coffin.

Wonder what’s going through DiFronzo’s mind this AM.

  • Joseph Fosco

    John,

Your comments are misplaced. Show me where it says anyone is mad that Fratto’s daughter has a job. Show me where it says that Fratto’s daughter is to blame for her father’s sins.

She simply came to mind while I was writing the article because she works there, and I have been covering her father, coupled with the fact that she threatened me at her fathers sentencing hearing. The daughter’s threats to me are her sins, not her fathers.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

  • Steve Porter

I have stayed out of Venutis for the most part due to the fact that it’s prominent bar / night club business is filled with grease ball cocaine distribution. Now that I know a pedophile is employed I won’t eat at the restaurant or attend any banquet functions when invited.

  • phone

mr. battaglia isn’t necessarily a pedophile — pedophiles prey on children under the age of 13. he may have attacked a minor (16 y.o.), and that allegedly makes him a sexual predator — but it doesn’t make him a pedophile.

just trying to prevent lawsuits here.

  • jessica Gonzalez

I just stumbled onto this website, and let me tell you that i am veryy appauled at all of you that have made these disgusting comments about venutis rest/banquet. I have known this family for over 30 years and they are just a hard working family that is just trying to support their families. This family has been in business for over 40 years and has done nothing to hurt anybody, all they try to do is make good, home- cooked meals for their clientele that have been supporting them. I dont know anything about Frank B, but let me tell you that your accusations about Frank Venuti make me absolutely want to vomit!!!!!!!! He is a hard working man with a wife and 3 children, and i hope to god that they never see your vile comments (concerned citizen & Mr.Fosco) your journalism is compeletly unfounded. And as for Mr. Fratto’s daughter,i have met her and she is a lovely person who works as a hostess. You must have said something really awful to her for her to have to defend herself. What her father did has nothing to do with her, LEAVE HER ALONE!!!! after seeing your site, i will try to inform Venuti’s about what you have posted. I am sure they are just as concerned about all their patrons as you are. .. &&&& PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR, BEFORE YOU DESTROY PEOPLE’S REPUTATION,TRY TO FIND SOME CONCRETE EDVIDENCE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Barnus Buboe

haha. Sure, you just “stumbled” across onto this site.

  • jessica gonzalez

YESS ASSHOLE i just had a list of sites that ive been researching n this happened to be one of them.. i am a resident of addison and heard about this site!! so shut the FUCK up n mind ur own business!

  • Barnus Buboe

Haha. You actually wrote, “PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR, BEFORE YOU DESTROY PEOPLE’S REPUTATION,TRY TO FIND SOME CONCRETE EDVIDENCE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Well, Battaglia’s info is on the statesex offender registry, and he was convicted of a crime. What kind of concrete evidence did you have in mind? Haha.

  • jessica gonzalez

first of all if u can read correctly, i did state that i didnt know about FRANK B! i was replying to the other comments made..!! if the venuti family dosnt know anything about this, i dont think its right to drag them into this until they have a chance to hear about it and do what is right!! i thank all those who support me on this issue, people need a chance to defend themself. WHATTT are we turning into a communist country now??????

  • Barnus Buboe

“WHATTT are we turning into a communist country now??????”

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Are you feeling OK, Jessica?

  • DUSTY

    JESSICA-
PLEASE SMELL ONE OF YOUR OWN FARTS.
    SINCERELY,
    DUSTY

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jessica,

Please talk to someone and get help. I will say a prayer for you.

  • GOLDEN BEAR

LETS ALL FORGET Y AND FOR WHAT REASONS MR FOSCO WROTE THE ARTICLE. THE FACT IS A CREEP IS WORKING AMONG OUR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN WHILE WE ALL HAVE OUR GUARDS DOWN ENJOYING SOME SORT OF CELEBRATION. THE LAST THING ANYONE WANTS OR NEEDS IS TO WONDER IF OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ARE SAFE WHILE AT A FAMILY EVENT!!!!!!IM SURE MR BATTAGLIA I HOPE WOULD NOT PREY ON THEM THEN AND THERE BUT THE MERE FACT OF ANYONE EVEN THINKING OR FANTASIZING OVER ONE OF MY CHILDREN IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME VERY VERY VERY SICK. JOE CONTINUE TO WEED OUT THESE FREAKS OF GOD AND IGNORE THE FOOLS WHO HAVE THE NERVE TO QUESTION YOUR MOTIVES.IF ONLY MORE PEOPLE HAD THE BALLS TO CONFRONT AND EXPOSE THE TRUTH THE WORLD WOULD B A BETTER PLACE. THANK YOU AND AS RAY TON WOULD SAY (DONT B RUDE)

  • Hawaiian Shirt

    Joe,

You mentioned that the Fratto family made up some claims that you were some type of “pervert”, but you never elaborated on it. Seeing as Jeannine Fratto works at Venuti’s, do you think she could have used Battaglia’s story and ascribed it to you in an effort to smear you in front guys like John Kass?

It seems like her claims about you could have been based on him, but she assumed that no one would make the connection since Battaglia, apparently, had slipped under the radar?

  • Joseph Fosco

Ray Thonn… how fitting. Thank you.

  • Rukimi

(DISCLAIMER: One of the maxims of karate is that force is ONLY used as a last resort where humanity and justice cannot prevail. I would never attack unless I was attacked first. It is t is always better to walk away from an adversary than to engage him. Please keep these words in mind as you read my comment.)

I suppose if I had some kind of threatening encounter with him at the restaurant, I’d allow him to throw the first punch, which I’d block, of course. (I’d probably have to use an upper block since he’s kind of a tall man.)

Then, I’d proceed to do the following: throw a palm heel strike to his right cheek, followed by an elbow strike to the left.

At this point, it would probably become obvious to him that I know karate, so he’d be expecting a spinning leg sweep, or an angled front kick. (The very fact that he’d be expecting this shows how little he knows about martial arts.) I’m also guessing that his rage would get the best of him, so he’d bear hug me. Good!, because, in that case, he’d be playing right into my hands.

You see, there are countless ways to escape bear hugs, including strikes with the back of the head, groin strikes with the fist, elbow strikes to the stomach, stomping on the attacker’s feet, hooking into the attacker’s knees, etc. It is important to learn many techniques, because each real-life situation is different, and may call for an instant variation of the theme.

Given his size, I’d probably have no choice but resort to a foot stomp, which would facilitate an easy escape.

    I’d finish with something flashy.

Perhaps a 360 Crescent Kick to the solar plexus, lauching him through a nearby window or glass door?

Maybe a Back Handspring Flip, destroying a bistro table with his body?

An uppercut hammerblow, shattering the chin?

    The possibilities are endless, really.

  • Hawaiian Shirt

Joe, you skipped my question. I wasn’t trying to offend you.

Rukimi, what if your opponent has a firearm? What if he knows karate? It’s easy for you to describe how you’d hypothetically kick his a**, but in reality, how can you be so sure?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Phone,

Look up the word pedophile, Mr. Battaglia is exactly that. Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Hawaii,

John Kass quoted Rudy Fratto, a newly convicted Mobster on his sentencing day, about someone (me) that has been writing negatively/truthfully about Fratto and is a ‘pervert’. I did elaborate on the matter in the thread of that article. You will have to pull it up.

I appreciate Kass’ writing ability. However, a prominent person once warned me about him. The person told me that Kass has turned on a number of people that he seeks information from (including Fratto) – oh well – not a big deal.

Personally, I think Kass embarrassed himself by quoting a villain like Rudy Fratto on something totally unsubstantiated. If it were the mayor of a respectable town or a church leader (of a respectable church) making such assertion, I would understand the quote making the paper. However, such a quote coming from a gangster on his sentencing day directed at a reporter (me), was silly for Kass to publish.

Kass writes about the Duff’s. I know a great deal of tantalizing things the Duff’s say about Kass’ wife, however, I know better than to publish those remarks. Perhaps Kass can take some lessons from me about professionalism. However,he does remain one of my idols in our profession. Although, no one comes close to soon-to-be exonerated Conrad Black – my mentor in the profession.

It would be interesting if Conrad bought the Tribune when he is freed… lol.

I wont speculate any further on why the quote about me made it to the paper via Kass. If you want to ask the sources, ask Fratto and Kass. Fratto can be reached thru his attorney’s Donald Angalini and Art Nasser (both attorneys are listed in 4-1-1). And Kass can be reached via email. His email address is all over the Internet.

I hope Kass is not trying to start a war of words between us, because he will lose. I have as much freedom with writing as he does. In fact, any heated exchange of words between us would only put KTF Media Group on the map. I leave it up to Mr. Kass. I am a reactor, not an instigator.

    Thanks.

  • a concerned citizen

I’ve known Mr. Battaglia and the entire family from the time I was a young child through my teenage years and he was NEVER inappropriate with me! The Battaglia’s are a kind, warmhearted, loving family. Is it illegal for the man to hold a job? To say you need to protect your YOUNG minor children away from two hardworking businesses is ridiculous! If you’re with your children walking into ANY establishment, do you let your kids just walk up to random people and start talking to them? I doubt it! As a mother or father aren’t you going to be there with them? Furthermore it was with a 16 year old. I’m sorry but there is a difference in mindset between a CHILD and a 16 year old. It could have even been a false accusation that turned into more, YOU do not know the story. I’m assuming you were to lazy to FIND ALL THE FACTS before you posted your article. Get the story straight before you try to ruin a business!

  • Hawaiian Shirt

“Tantalizing”? You mean, innuendo type of things? With no offense to Kass, may I ask if she’s attractive?

Also, do you know if Kass is aware of your blog, and if he is, does he read KTF?

  • RT

    Dear Mr. Fosco,

Ktf Media is already on the map. Keep up the good work!

  • RT

I demand to know if Battaglia is going to be fired from his post at Venuti’s!

  • Bort

    Joe & RT,
I’ve never seen Kass in person, but he looks like a guy who can handle himself. Who do you think would win in a fight between him and “Rukimi” (10:36 a.m.)?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear RT,

If the Village of Addison responds to my letter on the Battaglia matter, I will inform my readers if Addison tells me anything about the action they are taking.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bort,

Good question, Rukimi seems to know his (or her) stuff. I do not know the answer.

  • Bill Posters

Any word on whether F. Battaglia is a descendant of Teets?

Also, to what extent is there mob activity in the western DuPage suburbs–Addison, Wood Dale, Villa Park, and Lombard.

What suburbs are booming for the Outfit these days, if any?

    Thanks.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bill,

No word on the Teets factor yet. Soon.

I would say whatever towns have video poker machines are towns booming for the Outfit. Places like Oak Brook, Rush Street, River Grove and Grand & Ogden area are places you will find Outfit guys spending their time.

  • Joseph Fosco

I am thinking about doing a local show, via YouTube & KTF Media Group, called, “Exploit The Local Sex Offender.” Battaglia will be our poster child. I will travel to the offenders home and take footage of them coming and going to work, while I attempt to interview them. Or, I might call the show “Exploit The Villain,” so I am not limited to sex offenders – I could target bad politicians and gangsters, etc.

  • a concerned citizen

sounds like your a harassment lawsuit waiting to happen… do you have some sort of vendetta against this man? Is it illegal for him to hold a job? Do you have any sort of PROOF that he’s posing a threat to anyone currently? He did his time TWENTY years ago and obviously hasn’t committed it again otherwise it would be public record.

  • Bort

    Joe-

It’s my opinion that you not compromise your credibility as a writer by pursuing something like that. You’re a good writer, and people who do what you’re proposing are more, shall we say, “on the fringe.” Think about it. Do you respect Goudie because of what he does? I understand the answer to that question to be “no.”

I know you’re not scared of lawsuits, but I can almost guarantee you’d be facing a much greater possibility of something going terribly wrong by physically coming into contact with such people as you’ve mentioned. Do you really want that headache? Do you really want to physically put yourself in that kind of potential danger? It’ll end up costing you, one way or another, even if you’re as careful about it as you are in your journalism.

Joe, you’re a really great writer, and every time one of your stories surfaces in the mainstream media (examples: Dote, Fratto & Cleveland, Cerone, etc), it’s Warmbir and Kass who appear to be riding YOUR coattails. Over the past several months, you’ve proven yourself to be a first-rate reporter. Try to keep THAT streak going.

Go with journalism/reporting/blogging, and hopefully there will be a large scale payoff in the end. Don’t compromise your credibility by lowering yourself to that level.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bort,

You talked me out of pursuing the idea. Thank you for the many compliments.

  • Bort

Let me ask you something, Joe. Picture some sex offender who is really at the end of his rope. He can’t get a job because everyone knows who he is. He’s an outcast. His life is effectively over.

Here comes you and maybe another guy pointing a camcorder at said offender, and it dawns on him that since he’s on his way out anyway, he might as well take a few people out with him. He tries to run you over with his car. He tries to shoot you. Do you see what I’m saying?

Now, I’ve noticed that you and a lot of my other fellow-Catholics have a “martyr complex.” You seem to be willing to die for such a cause. While that may be admirable, I’d still like to submit to you that IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

In closing, here’s a little adage concerning martyrs I’ve always kept close to my heart. It goes, “If you try to be a martyr it will only slow you down, and I’ll cry a little harder as I wrap you in your shroud. But it’s never going to happen, and it’s never going to count, and there’s nothing we can do about it now.”

  • Bort

    Sorry, missed your response.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bort,

You are right. Please read my previous post.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bort,

You are a very thoughtful and intelligent person. Thank you for your advice.

  • dessie k.

    joe, bort, & co.,

might i add something to your conversation about kass?

mike royko had brashness and a flippancy that resonated with his audience because it was somehow endearing. (i’m only mentioning royko because kass is sometimes perceived as being his successor. whether or not that’s true, i’ll say that filling royko’s shoes is a very big undertaking, indeed.)

kass’ brand of brashness, flippancy, and irreverence makes me bristle sometimes. if this is intentional, the desired result is lost upon me.

kass is certainly a gifted writer–better than say, someone like warmbir–but he does bother me at times.

that you were told that kass turns on people for the sake of a story or something does not surprise me.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Des,

Great insight – thanks for sharing!

    Joe,
I don’t think Kass is Royko’s successor, but he is good nonetheless. Not sure what your opinion is on the matter.

but, yes, I agree: Kass can be an Ass.

Can I ask about the “pervert” claims against you? What are the Fratto’s alleging exactly/

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear She She,

John Kass quoted Rudy Fratto, a newly convicted Mobster on his sentencing day, about someone (me) that has been writing negatively/truthfully about him and is considered a ‘pervert’ according to the gangster. I did elaborate on the matter in the thread of the article I wrote on Fratto’s sentencing. You will have to pull it up if you want to read it.

I appreciate Kass’ writing ability, however, a prominent person once warned me about him. The person told me that Kass has turned on a number of people that he seeks information from (including Fratto – Kass makes fun of Fratto and his wife) – oh well – not a big deal.

Personally, I think Kass embarrassed himself by quoting a villain like Rudy Fratto on something totally unsubstantiated. If it were the mayor of a respectable town or a church leader of a respectable church making such an assertion, I might understand the quote making the newspaper. However, such a quote coming from a gangster on his sentencing day directed at a reporter (me), was silly for Kass to publish. Perhaps Kass realizes that bloggers are going to put him out of business some day and is jealous of us.

Kass writes about Chicago’s powerful Duff family. And I know a great deal of tantalizing information the Duff’s spread about Kass’ wife, however, I know better than to publish it. Perhaps Kass can take some lessons from me about professionalism. However, he does remain one of my idols in our profession – although, no one comes close to soon-to-be exonerated Conrad Black (my mentor in the profession).

It would be interesting if Conrad Black would buy the Tribune when he is freed (lol). I would ask Conrad if I could teach a class on ‘professionalism in reporting’ and require that Kass enroll in it(lol).

I wont speculate any further on why the gangsters immature quote about me made it in Kass’ column. If you want to ask the sources, ask Fratto and/or Kass. Fratto can be reached thru his attorney’s Donald Angalini and Art Nasser (both attorneys are listed in 4-1-1). And Kass can be reached via email. His email address is all over the Internet.

I hope Kass is not trying to start a war of words with me, because I will win. I have as much freedom with writing as he does and I can go toe to toe with him any day. In fact, any heated exchange of words between us would only improve KTF Media Group’s ratings. I leave it up to Mr. Kass, as I am a reactor, not an instigator (this comment is a reaction of Fratto’s quote by Kass).

    Thanks for your question.

  • Joseph Fosco

Readers be advised any further questions about Fratto’s quote will be answered by me cutting and pasting the comment above. Thank you.

THere are 325 registered sex offenders in Dupage COunty are we going to go through each person and find out where they work and tell everyone. I am sure that not all 325 people hold jobs as a line cook at McDonalds. To potentially jeopardize businesses and the families that run them. Unfortunately when you think of the word sex offender you think of somecreepy old man touching a very young child. That is not always the case. A 16 year old is a 16 year old and now a days can be very mature for their ages and be very manipulative. Why pinpoint this to two well known establishments? there are 31 addison residents that live next door to sex offenders are we pinpointing them out and naming where they work. My point is that yes these crimes are horrible things but are we going to find out where all 325 offenders work and tellthe media?

  • Lion

Why haven’t you gone after Fratto for some kind of defamation (slander)-related civil action? You always say that the reason that you are not sued for the things you say is because you speak the truth. I believe you.

But I have to say that the sentencing was a big story, and everyone read what Fratto said about you because Kass printed it. More people read that story in one day than read your articles about Fratto over the course of a few months.

So, why don’t you go after Fratto? By not going after him, according to your own reasoning, you’re making him look like he was speaking some degree of truth when he called you that name.

    No offense.

I am not leveling any charges against you. I’m just turning you reasoning on its ear.

  • Anonymous

Mr. Fosco and all bloggers- Mr. Fosco, as a journalist, shouldn’t you get your facts in order first? Perhaps contacting Frank yourself, doing some true research, and getting those facts first may have helped to prevent some unnecessary harm to innocent people who are now affected by this situation. I would like to set a few things straight for you and your readers, and yes, these are facts. Nana’s Hot Dog’s is owned by one of Frank’s daughters, along with a partner who is not related to the Battaglia family. Therefore, it would only stand to reason that Frank may stop in a few times a week to visit or check on his family. Nana’s is managed by his daughters and Frank has no involvement with the ownership or management of Nana’s. Should members of Frank’s family not be allowed to work or own a business because of his past transgressions? Your bashing of this business for which these girls work so hard for everyday is not done with the level of integrity you seem to so deeply covet. Frankly, you should feel ashamed of yourself for distributing such inaccuracies, leaving innocent people to defend themselves against unnecessary criticism.
As for Venuti’s, is it not possible that the Venuti family was unaware of his past when they hired him? While it may be easy to do a criminal background check and ascertain such information, it is not required by law. Your belief that the Venuti family had knowledge of Mr. Battaglia’s past is based solely on speculation. The speculative nature in which you portray this situation will once again cause harm to innocent people and bring unjust scrutiny upon them. Frank Battaglia takes great pride in his job at Venuti’s and he does a fantastic job. Both employees and customers have had nothing but positive things to say about him. He conducts himself with a level of integrity and professionalism that others should strive to achieve.
Obviously, I have known Frank and his family for quite a while and yes, I am aware of this situation that occurred 14 years ago. That being said, I will tell you that my children grew up around him, and never once did any notion of mistrust about Frank Battaglia cross my mind. The Frank that his family and friends know is a genuine and sincere person who has grandchildren that absolutely adore him. It is unfortunate that both you and your loyal followers are assuming he would look to hurt children based on this past incident. Frank Battaglia’s family is still haunted by what took place 14 years ago; however, they had made peace with the situation until you decided to publish this article. Mr. Fosco, you have no idea what kind of damage you are causing, not just to Frank Battaglia, but to his family as well. You portray yourself as a devout Catholic; however, your actions are not those of a person who is taught that God forgives all. Forgiveness is the fundamental concept the Catholic faith is based upon, an ideal that you seem to have forgotten as you try to solve the world’s problems, one story at a time.

  • Lion

    Dear Anon.,

I believe in misunderstandings, as well as the possibility of rehabilitation and redemption.

The details surrounding the Battaglia incident are his own business and the business of the victim. I don’t care to know what happened, but is there anything you can tell us that might explain things, or that might cast him in a more favorable light?

Saying that he’s a “a genuine and sincere person” who is also a family man doesn’t really count for much given the information provided by Joe.

Did he ever contest the charges? Is there more to this then just the content of Joe’s article and the information on the State page? If the guy deserves a fair shake (or fairer shake) I’m all in favor of hearing about it. Speak up if that’s the case.

  • Lion

Wait a minute, if you check the State Registry Frank Battaglia is NOT listed as being a “Child Sexual Predator.” He is listed as a compliant offender.

“Predator” is a different designation all together. There is only one “Predator” in Bensenville, IL, according to the registry.

You may want to edit some of the content of this article.

  • Anonymous

    Lion-
I am glad someone who is reading and responding did some research and is not just ‘reacting’. Since I made note of the inaccuracies in Mr. Fosco’s piece, I do not feel it would be justified to deliver what would simply amount to a one sided account of the situation.
I hope you and the other readers understand.

  • honest big bird

there is plenty of innocuous things a person can do to get put on the sex offender list: mooning, streaking, and so on.

so, if you “moon” your buddies or a cluster of attractive women who are waiting in line outside a club, and a child sees you, you could very easily end up having to register as a sex offender and have your name added to that list–if the child’s parents press charges.

if you have to urinate really bad and have no choice but to duck down some alley or behind someone’s hedge, and a child or woman sees your junk, again, you could end up on the registry.

same thing if you are lumbering around your front room, buck naked, in the middle of the day and some woman or child sees you through your picture window.

if mr. battaglia was horsing around, or was engaging in some low-brow gag that went wrong, then i think this article should be deleted.

(same thing with the front room/picture window scenario.)

the registry is only useful if the information on it reflects actual criminals who have been found to have perpetrated actual sex crimes, and who have been released into society.

“mooners”, a public urinators, and such should not be considered sex offenders since the intent of their actions is not sexual in nature.

and, by the way, who among us is not guilty of having engaged in any of the behavior i mentioned above?

i work with a woman whose husband is on the illinois sex offender registry because of some b.s. horseplay from when he was a minor. this is another situation where the registry hurts more than it helps society.

there is nothing to indicate that battaglia is a current threat to society, and, as far as i can tell, there’s nothing that stated that his crime was sexually violent.

i don’t know the man. and if i did, who knows? maybe i’d think he was a major a**hole? or maybe i’d think he was gandhi’s brother?

all i’m saying is that if he got railroaded on the charges, then this article should be removed. if he was screwing around, and it somehow resulted in a sex offense conviction, then i think it would be prudent to have it removed, as well.

and if he was guilty of something pervy and criminal, but is recovered, then society should allow him the chance to reintegrate and attempt to live a normal life, since he’s paid whatever debt he owed to society. but, i suppose he’ll remain on the registry.

but if he’s somehow proven to be a sexually violent predator, then i’m OK with this article. but the state registry does not indicate that. and if the state won’t, how can joe?

  • AMHED Rooke

HAVE YOU HEARD FROM BATTAGLIA OR VENUTI’S AT ALL IN REPSONSE TO YOUR ACCUSATIONS AGAINST BATTAGLIA??

ARE YOU EXPECTING THE NICK GIO POST TO SURPASS THE MUNGO ARTICLE IN POPULARITY?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Readers,

At 10:50 AM today ‘MN’ blamed the 16 year old child in his or her argument that I should not exploit Battaglia. MN cited that 16 year old girls ‘now a days’ can be manipulate. MN sounds like a pedophile to me.

MN what about 16 year old girls 20-years ago?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Lion,

Have you looked up the definition of the word pervert? There are several meanings.

If you read the article on KTF Media Group by Alex Sharp, titled ‘An Interview With Joseph Fosco’, you know that I have been convicted of a crime (non sex related) from my teenage years. Therefore, I believe that I would not win a libel suit against Kass and the Tribune for printing Rudy’s quote. As a convicted criminal from a crime 18-years ago (granted I was never sentenced to jail), unfortunately makes the argument that my conduct as a teenager was perverted, in other words ‘improper’ – which is covered in the definition of pervert. On that note, Rudy Fratto is now a much bigger pervert then I was as a teenager (both situations being nonsexual in nature).

In my opinion, Rudy meant the use of the word ‘pervert’ in a sexual sense, which is baseless as it would be argued to apply to me. However, I cannot prove how Rudy meant it. However, I am sure the Tribune and Kass would defend their use of the quote by relying on my teenage criminal record (again, which is non sexual). Kass knows this, which is why he felt okay in printing it. Kass did not print a number of other things Rudy tried further smearing me with. Kass picked the one word that has many broad meanings – pervert. Kass is very smart and he enjoys the art of using words a people to make an interesting story and I am the same way. I cannot be Joe Fosco and be mad at Kass – all I can say is that Kass might find himself at the other end of a word someday. lol

    Have I answered your question?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Anonymous,

Did you read the article? Perhaps you should reread it. I stated that employees (prior to this article being published)have answered the phone at NaNa’s and acknowledged Frank Battaglia as owner/boss. If that is not correct, NaNa’s employees that answered the phone are to blame for Nana’s being mentioned in the article.

As for Venuti’s – I believe that establishments that host children and serve alcohol have a duty to research the background of their employees.

As far as the age of Battaglia’s crime, should we ask the victim, or the victims parents if the crime means anything to them today?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Lion,

Splitting hairs over the words ‘predator’, ‘offender’, or ‘pedophile’ are silly. A sex offense involving a minor is worse than what any word can mean. A jury and/or a judge will agree with me.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Ahmed,

I have not heard from the Village of Addison (or anyone) about Battaglia. I will let you know if I do.

I have no idea if the Gio piece will do better than Mungo’s.

  • Anonymous

Fosco (aka pompous jerk)- I did read the article thats why I stated all the facts about Frank and his positon with Nana’s. And I didn’t know as a journalist you base your info thru a phone call with a random employee, that to me is just he said she said. And your splitting hairs comment was a bit ridiculous. But I am not gonna continue entertaining you with anymore comments of my own because I am wasting my time with someone like you. You will continue to right what you want no matter who it is about and no matter who you are hurting along the way. Have fun continuing to be an ass.

  • mr

I’m actually shocked that someone this incompetent calls himself a journalist. Calling a business and asking random employees if they know a Frank Battaglia does not qualify him as owning a business. Any human with an inkling of a brain should probably know that random employees would not know the business of the owners and who owns what, simply what the owners last name is and trying to put two in two together without knowing the facts. Yes facts something that a “so called” journalist should gather before reporting a story. You would not know anything about Frank Battaglia if you personally didn’t get to look it up on government websites, meaning that the LAW obviously had a hand in convicting him so what gives you the right to think that our laws are not good enough? You claim to be a Catholic? Well it sounds to me your more like a terrorist and maybe people should follow you and your family around to see all the faults you make so they could pretend to be journalist and write blogs that do not have proper information. I cannot personally believe you could be that talented of journalist if you’re concerned about one sex offender next to hundreds in Addison, IL. Lastly, I would like to point out that all people with any sort of criminal history deserve a second chance according to our laws that is the whole point of rehabilitation, you are a nobody in this world so you will not be allowed to judge. You should go back to church and try to be a better Catholic and ask for forgiveness for embarrassing his DAUGHTER who is trying to make it in this world, something you should work a little harder at.

  • Lion

    You mention “libel” (printed defamation).

I have a question for you, and I am not picking a fight. If anything, this may help you.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Information Database, there are Child Sex Offenders and Adult Sex Offenders. I’m sure we both agree on this because we’ve both examined the website.

‘Sexual Predator’ ‘Sexually Dangerous Person’ and ‘Sexually Violent Person’ are further classifications, none of which apply to Battaglia. If he were considered a sexual predator by the State of Illinois there would be a red hyperlink under his name in the Bensenville index that says, ‘Sexual Predator’ (as is the case with John M. Thomas, 642 S York Rd, Apt. 206 Bensenville , IL 60106).

According to the State of Illinois:

‘Sexual predator’ means any person who is convicted of a violation or attempted violation of the following sections of the Criminal Code of 1961, and the conviction occurred after July 1, 1999:

    Keeping a Place of Juvenile Prostitution;
    Juvenile Pimping;
    Exploitation of a Child;
    Child Pornography;
    Aggravated Child Pornography;
    Criminal Sexual Assault, if the victim is under age 12;
    Criminal Sexual Assault, regardless of the victim’s age (if convicted on or after January 1,2006);
    Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault;
    Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault;
    Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse;
    Ritualized Abuse of a Child;
    Conviction of first degree murder, when the victim was a person under 18 years of age and the defendant was at least 17 years of age at the time of the commission of the offense and the offense was sexually motivated as defined in Section 10 of the Sex Offender Management Board Act;
    Certified as a Sexually Dangerous Person pursuant to the Sexually Dangerous Persons Act or any substantially similar federal, sister state, or foreign country law;
    Found to be Sexually Violent pursuant to the Sexually Violent Commitment Act or any substantially similar federal, sister state, or foreign country law;
Convicted of a 2nd or subsequent offense, after July 1, 1999 which would require registration pursuant to the Sex Offender Registration Act; or
A conviction for an offense of federal law, Uniform Code of Military Justice, law of another state or foreign country that is substantially equivalent to any of the these offenses listed above.

Sexual Predators are required to register annually for their natural life.

Battaglia is not considered to be a ‘Sexual Predator’ by the State of Illinois, though he is considered a ‘Child Sex Offender.’ You have still printed something that is not true—as far as our state government is concerned—so you could be vulnerable in a libel case because in that sense you have printed something that isn’t true.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Anonomous,

I never said Frank Battaglia owned NaNa’s, the employees did. Oh, a ‘he said she siad’, perhaps I am more like John Kass than I initially thought. The difference – its not slandering someone to infer they own a hot-dog stand.

Take a lesson from me, the word ‘write’ is what you should have used above – right?

  • mr

Just to bring to the attention to all of his readers, unlike this “so called” writer I myself have done some real research. Just to prove what a hypocrite this man is one of his favorite groups on facebook is another family business related to the Battaglia family. So I guess he may have to start making false accusations about them as well!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Mr,

Perhaps I am shocked that an employee would identify a known pedophile as the owner/boss of their business to a stranger over the phone. If that is the whole story, I would not eat there for that reason alone.

Your way of thinking would suggest that prisons should not hold Catholics because God forgives. lol

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Lion,

I read all that stuff before I wrote the piece. However, I relied on the dictionary when I decided to refer to Battaglia as a sexual predator. In this thread, I relied on the dictionary when I called Battaglia a pedophile.

If you want to really help Mr. Battaglia, put your money where your mouth is and hire a lawyer for him so he could file a lawsuit against me. Then we can test the true meaning of all these words.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Mr,

The only smart thing you have done thus far is not name the business owned by family of Battaglia, which purportedly appears on my facebook. They would probably be ashamed to be identified as relatives of a pedophile.

  • Lion

I’m not really trying to help Battaglia. I’m just saying that the government doesn’t consider him a ‘Sexual Predator’ — he doesn’t seem to meet the criteria. You are saying he is. You could be in a position to lose a libel case. That’s all.

  • Bruce

Who tipped you off about Battaglia? Have you been in contact with anyone who has firsthand knowledge of unsavory antics?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Lion,

Thanks for the warning – the article will remain in place.

  • George Gordon Noel, 6th Baron Byron, FRS

Among other things, I enjoy nibbling my girlfriend’s breasts in wanton play, but that certainly doesn’t make me a sex offender.

You won’t see my name on that list, Mr. Fosco!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bruce,

A good journalist does not always reveal his or her sources. Sorry, I am not going to answer your questions.

  • Joseph Fosco

    George,

You are obviously in a relationship with an adult.

  • Joseph Fosco

The Village of Addison should ensure that establishments that host children and serve alcohol are managed by individuals that are not pedophiles/child sex offenders.

  • Dale Markuze

Have you ever exchanged hostile words with Kass in person or via email? It sure sounds like you are primed for a war of words with him, and that you might have a few aces up your sleeve.

I’m assuming the details of Battaglia’s crimes are privileged pieces of information; otherwise, you would have spilled them the day you published this article. If you publish privileged information, you can be sued for libel even if you speak the truth.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Dale,

I have no hard feelings against John Kass (I was somewhat disappointed about the Fratto quote, but I am well over it now – I did not bring it up, someone else did).

I am primed and ready to respond to anyone that wages a war of words against me.

Anytime an adult molests a child, the identity of the child is classified. I would never exploit the identity of a child that is a victim in a sex case, or any sensitive case for that matter. However, the victim (who is an adult now) can come forward and speak out on Battaglia. Perhaps that will be the case here.

  • Dale Markuze

Has the CCOC dealt with any other cases of abuse?

  • http://sm anonymous

Its is very sad that you need to focus your writing on situations that are not fully investigated. No one is perfect in the world, and things can come to seem way worse than there really are. People like you make them worse by writing things like this. I am assuming that you really do not have much to write about, so I guess negative ways to get you name out there is better for you than not anyone knowing who you are! You should seriously watch what you do with your own personal life, because karma, well you know the rest of that statement! Frank Battaglia is a great and caring person, and a very hard worker. In today’s economy its very hard to have an income, and thanks to you you are not making anything better for anyone. Especially bashing a young woman who is working very hard to have a great business, that everyone loves! Next time think before you speak, see how that works out!

  • mrs. beauregard

Battaglia seems to have a network of supporters who are doing an exceptional job of supporting him!

    Ohh!!!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Dale,

Thank you for inquiring about the CCOC, what a great program. I am sorry, I am unable to discuss anything regarding the CCOC, unless you put your request in writing, via my personal email, jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com. Thanks.

  • mrs. beauregard

How did Battaglia and his family find out about this article?? They have really been successfully teeing off on the author of this article!!!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Beauregard,

True success would mean the article is no longer on line.

    Thanks for your readership.

  • mrs. beauregard

I WAS REFERRING TO THE MARCH 28, 2010 AT 7:55 PM BY ANONYMOUS, WHICH WAS A SIZABLE ATTACK AGAINST YOU WHICH YOU COULDN’T REFUTE.

    Dear Anonymous,

As a good Catholic, I do not put a weird God such as Carma before my God.

Your opinions are received. Thank you for your readership.

  • Mr

Funny because in a five min time span I found more facts than you did. Also, I do not know what kind of a family you have, but that kind of a family is not ashamed of eachother based on lies. Like I said you should go to church.

  • Dale Markuze

I don’t think this is a battle Battaglia’s supporters will win.

Also, can you provide any letters you’ve written to the State of Illinois or to the Village of Addison for us to read?

    Thank you.

  • Dale Markuze

Is “Mr.” implying that Battaglia’s conviction and status as an offender is based on lies?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Readers:

No one has suggested that Frank J. Battaglia was setup on child molestation related charges, involving the 16 year old child. However, if Battaglia does make such assertion, I would ask if he appealed his case, and if he has filed a petition with the Illinois Prisoner Review Board for an executive pardon. If I were setup on a crime as serious as Battaglia’s, I would have brought the matter to the United States Supreme Court if I could. And, if all failed, I would be retrying my case every other year in front of the Illinois Prisoner review Board, seeking a pardon – to clear my name.

Instead, I have read comments stating the crime is old, he paid his debt to society and he is a hard worker.

I am sorry, molesting a child, whether it be a 5-year old or a 16-year old is deplorable. Whether it was intercourse or fondling – it is all sick stuff.

Every parent that has unknowingly exposed their 16-year old child to Frank J. Battaglia (via Venuti’s) has every right to be angry with the town of Addison and Venuti’s for making it possible. The Sex-Offenders list would not be in place if it were not important. The idea that a listed child sex offender having free rein over an establishment that hosts minors and serves alcohol is deplorable. Anyone that argues with me on this is as sick as the average sex offender (in my opinion).

    Sincerely,

    /s/ Joseph Fosco

End of discussion. End of the argument. Great point about the Illinois Prisoner Review Board!!!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Dale,

I simply sent a copy of the article to three officials with the Village of Addison, asking for their response. They were sent to the village manager, community coordinator and chief of police. I have not heard back from any of them as of yet.

Tomorrow, Quinn’s office should have a letter from me asking that listed sex offenders post their work addresses on the sex offenders website as well. I will be using my article on Battaglia as my argument.

  • Joe

    Joe,
How can you bash Nana’s , Frank has nothing to do with that place. The heartache that the Family went through , then to start a new business and have it bashed by you with no Fact behind it is wrong. As for where Frank works write what you want but if I owned Nana’s I would take you to court. And I seen the comment about your facebook LOL you are a real idiot. Research before you write. And you are one ugly dude !!! Change your profile , or just leave it blank ,,,,

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Joe,

Thank you for your opinions. Again, Nana’s emploees (prior to this article) have acknowledged Frank Battaglia as the owner. And I will use my witnesses that called there a number of times to hear the employees regard Frank as owner/boss. Do not forget, I never declared Frank the owner/boss – I simply reported the truth, that employees that answer the phone refer to Frank as owner/boss.

I might be one ugly dude, but my mug is not planted on the Illinois Sex Offenders Website.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

  • Norm

OHHHHHH! hahaha. Good one, Joe (Fosco). Give it up, “Joe” and anonymous!!!

Joe Fosco, let me ask you a question: What did the silly “Joe” mean by, “the heartache that the Family went through”? This did not make sense to me.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Norm,

I took it as they have had a hard time dealing with the fact that a pedophile is in the family.

  • I don’t like TEETS

Hey, that isn’t very nice. I think that Mr. Fosco looks just fine. But since we are on the topic of looks, don’t you guys think that Mad Sam Destefano was the ugliest gangster of all time? Or maybe it was a New York gangster named Neil Delacroce. I disagree with Mr. Fosco about Johnny No Nose. In a previous article it was implied that he isn’t all that good looking, but I think that he probably was a decent looking guy when he was younger. Just an opinion.

  • Norm

WARNING: the person who made the previous comment may be a supporter of Battaglia’s who is trying to bring your attack to a halt by creating a distraction.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear I don’t like,

Yes, Mad Sam is not a looker, but I give the Ugliest Gangster of All Time Award to Rudy Fratto.

I will agree with you about Johnny DiFronzo, was much better looking many years ago. Part of it with me is that when I look at a killer all I can see is ugly.

Some argue that DiFronzo is not a killer because he was not convicted of it. In my response, I say, John Gacy killed 32 people before he was convicted of killing 33 people. If someone thinks that John DiFronzo reached top spot in the Chicago Outfit by not killing anyone, such person would probably think the 16-year old that Frank Battaglia molested had it coming.

  • Joseph Fosco

Norm, thanks, read my last sentence in my previous comnet.

Frank J. Battaglia is a child molester!

  • handshake

    dear mr. fosco,

i consider this to be a responsible article. so, thank. as a dupage resident, i like to know what is going on in my community.

are you expecting to face some kind of litigation from the nana’s people or from battaglia? if so, and you come out on top, will you counter sue for damages incurred by frivolity?

“you cannot shake hands with a clenched fist.”

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Handshake,

I do not expect to be sued by anyone on this matter. If I am wrong, I will have to read the complaint before I decide how I would counter.

    Thank you for your interest.

I will continue to expose evildoers like Frank J. Battaglia.

  • Fr. Ted

I imagine that your upcoming Gio piece will be among your more popular stories, and may well serve as a kind of pornography or masturbatory prop for some of the readers on here.

Personally, I don’t get it, as I’d much rather read an article about the current Outfit. But, who am I to judge? To each his own.

Are there any other people cut from the same cloth as this Battaglia who are in your sights, as far as publishing more public service announcements?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Father,

I am astounded by your rather vulgar description of how the Gio piece will serve. Perhaps if you were a lay person I could see some humor in it.

I have not walked away from writing about the current Outfit. I have something brewing that will please you. However, it might take me a week or two to get to it. Sorry.

As for the public service announcements, yes, I have a few others in sight. One will be up in the morning. However, it will not be as vital as some of the others.

  • TH

It is funny how you say via Venuti’s and not via Nana’s. Nana’s and Venuti’s are family run businesses that do a great job in the area. They pride them selves as family run and would NEVER put anyone in danger. You are ruining two businesses that are run by other people. Do research first before you open your mouth. The state law is to register your address not your place of business. If that were the case how would anyone of these people be able to support their families and get a job. Also one the Illinos Sex offenders website it states that the information there is not ment to harrass or threaten the individuals, if this is not harrassment in its finest. Would you like your dirty laundry aired out because i am sorry it would not be pretty and it may put you at risk of credibilty. Unfortunately I know you are getting off with all the comments you have recieved because thats what you do best. You need to understand the amount of enemies you are making and the families you are ruining and giving a hard time! Why should a family be punished for wrong doings of a parent or an employee? You have no idea the severity of your actions! YOu talk as if something has happened at one of thee establishments and NOTHING HAS EVER HAPPENED AND EVER WILL.

  • TH

P.S I live in the area and know both establishments. Addison is small community and it seems that eveyone knows everyone. It is not hard to know both families and frequent these businesses. An outsiders view could be different and that is what you are hoping to be based off of but there are many insiders within the community that know Frank B and Rudy’s daughter that just see this article as a blast

  • Stewart Foote

If Addison insiders know, love, and trust Frank Battaglia and his family, then why are you (and why should they) be worried about what Joe writes?

If what you say is true, why would Joe’s article have any effect on either of the businesses?

Obviously, what said is not the case since you’re pissing and moaning up and down this thread about how Joe is destroying their business.

  • Joseph Fosco

You poor misguided soul. You would accuse me of hurting the Battaglia family. I suppose you think the 16-year old victim had it coming too. Forget about Frank Battaglia’s accountability. Lets keep knocking the author for warning the public. I intend to see to it that sex offenders are required to list their work addresses as well. Perhaps if only their occupation involves dealing with children (via the public). Shame on Nana’s for acknowledging that Frank Battaglia is the owner/boss over the phone, several times – whether true or false. I cannot imagine why a business would falsely claim to have a sex offender as a boss. And shame on the Venuti’s and the Village of Addison for not realizing or caring about exposing thousands of underage teenagers over the years to a child sex offender, without allowing their parents the opportunity to be aware of it. And the idea of alcohol being served during these exposures is enough to make me sick.
    Dear TH,

My dirty laundry is completely revealed in the many articles on KTF Media Group.

As for your threats that I am making enemies, please be careful, I do not want you to say something you will regret. I am not going to take your nonsense.

  • Joseph Fosco

Oops, my previous comment was meant for TH. Sorry, the ‘Dear TH’ wound up in the wrong place.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Good points Stewart.

  • Norm

Battaglia’s support network really has to get their stories straight and decide on a position because Joe is effortlessly putting their attacks down.

Joe, did you see where TH wrote, “Frank B and Rudy’s daughter just see this article as a blast.”

What a weird image to take with me to bed at 12:25 a.m!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Norm, I agree. Thanks.

  • huh?

Joe, have you noticed that there seems to be a lot of people rushing to the aid of Battaglia? Maybe he really could be innocent, or maybe it’s people who are doing it to protect the bottom lines of the two restaurants. How do you explain this?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear huh,

I do not believe Battaglia is innocent. As I said, if it were me (and I were innocent), I would be retrying my case in front of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board, seeking a pardon, every other year until I dropped dead.

I would have to agree with your second idea – the bottom line of two restaurants is the only concern here (in my opinion).

  • Harlem Buttplay

May I suggest a title for the Nick Gio blog? How about, “Wankfest for Harlem Playboy: Here’s Your Nick Gio Information, You Creeps!!!”

  • Harlem Buttplay

I’d hate to be Harlem Playboy’s computer screen on the day you publish the article. (Things are going to get pretty wet and wild!)

  • Joseph Fosco

Frank J. Battaglia should resign from Venuti’s as banquet general manager, or Venuti’s should inform their customers that a listed pedophile is fee to do as he pleases as general manager.

  • Harlem Blaypoy

Man, you really want Battaglia out. I know you won’t publicize what you know or how you know it, but like me ask you this: Do you know what happen regarding Battaglia? I can only assume that you do since you are so adamant about exposing him to the public.

One more thing: ME LOVE NICK GIO!!!ME LOVE NICK GIO!!!ME AM IN LOVE WITH HIM!!!

  • Scott

Puzzles me how an “Italian” place is called “Nana’s” when “Nonna” is actually Italian for grandma.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Scott,

It puzzles me how employees of Nana’s have answered the phone (prior to this article) and claimed a child sex offender is the boss.

  • just wondering

    Joe,
nice comments from everyone on here.First of all every sex offender should be held accountable and when seeking a job this information should be known.Ignorance is not an excuse, i would never ever want my children exposed to a sexual predator. And further more to defend the persons actions is crazy and irresponsible…Yes sometimes people get themselves into situations such as a 16 yr. old and a 18 yr old together you would be listed as a sexual predator, i personally dont agree with that being on your record..but if you molest children or you are with a underage person and you are much older that is just plain sick and yes you should be held accountable for your actions.keep up the good reporting Joe and I think you are good looking…..

  • Harlem Blaypoy

    just wondering,

Thank you for the compliments. Hopefully you have taken notice of my question. Joe should also soon be publishing an article about the apple of my eye, Mr. Nicholas Gio.

  • just wondering

And why should we care who Nick Gio is?????

  • Scott

I also find it funny that a few people keep popping up on the site acting as if what has been reported here are only accusations, or inferring that there is more to the story than meets the eye – when the guy has obviously been tried and convicted. Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a 16 year old is not the kind of charge you’d just make a plea for and move on with your life if you weren’t genuinely guilty. My guess is he fought as hard as he could to beat the charge back in the day, but was obviously convicted. Of course people should be able to move on with their lives after accepting their punishment, but under no circumstances should a sex offender be employed in situations where they are in contact with minors. I’m sure there were plenty of banquet customers who were taken aback when finding this out – it’s very difficult to check out the background of every person you deal with, so thanks for making his background known. I had been thinking about Venuti’s for my daughter’s communion, but luckily decided to look elsewhere.

  • publisher

    Joe,

If someone came on here and said that Battaglia was unequivocally innocent of the crime he was convicted of, could the alleged victim sue for libel?

  • Scott

The alleged victim could not sue for libel in that situation for a myriad of reasons. Libel is in essence a false and malicious publication printed for the purpose of defaming a living person. The victim (not alleged, he’s been convicted)has not even been named, and has suffered no damage to her character as the result of an malicious or abusive attack on her character. The guy’s family/supporters are only trying to weakly infer he’s not guilty – but he’s been tried and convicted.

  • publisher

How about if someone calls him names that are related to the behavior he was convicted of? Could Battaglia sue for cyber bullying, harrassment, or anything like that?

  • Anonymous

    Joe,
Do you really think it fair to harm this family? What did they do to deserve this humility? Just as they try to put this in their past you feel the need so many years later to remind them. I do not think this is very humane of you. Posting there address and place of work is so wrong of you. What will you do if they are harmed? How will you ever forgive yourself? You are a spiteful human being. I saddens me that you would do this to a family that had nothing to do with what happened. I just wonder what somone would find if they dug up your skeletons. I have visted your website and facebook. You look like some kind of cult leader. Its scary. Obviously you havent completed all of you research because you are a fan of the Gene and Jude page, which is also part of that family. I found that pretty funny. I think you owe this family an apology. That should be your public announcement. As for Nanna’s I will continue to go there. They have a great opperation. If I were you I would be ashamed of my behavior. Leave those women in that family alone. Its people like you that have made them very strong individuals. You sir have no clue what it is to be a “Good Catholic” so please dont refer to yourself as one. My heart goes out to the family.

  • Scott

I’m no legal eagle, but if people just stick to the facts as presented on the Sex Offender Registry and avoid intimidating, harassing or threatening him, there is nothing he can really do. He’s been convicted so there is no libel and no defamation to call a spade a spade. Short of that type of harassing, intimidating, threatening behavior, I don’t think he’d want to push a lawsuit because all that does is serve to drag his family and his name further thru the mud. The faster this goes away, the faster he can blend back into society. Joe simply reporting the facts are not any of the above behaviors, and he is not promoting that type of behavior, and hopefully people would avoid that kinda stuff. The man is in compliance with the law and has done whatever time he had to do, so he doesn’t deserve any of that. I do believe (and the law allows)the public the right to know his background so they can act accordingly. He should be kept away from minors, in my opinion.

  • publisher

    Anonymous,

Why doesn’t Frank (or his family acting on his behalf) resort to something more substantial than thread trolling to clear his/their names?

I’ve noticed that all your arguments, and those of your supporters, merely attempt to tug at the heartstrings of Joe’s readers. That’s not going to produce any results as far as mitigating any alleged damages to the business–end definitely not to Battaglia’s reputation.

This is why Joe has torpedoed every singly one of your retorts.

  • Scott

I feel sympathy for his family and feel he shouldn’t be denied the right to make a living and move on, but it’s our right as the public to know about child sex offenders – it’s the law. I will respectfully keep my daughter away from his places of business. He is fortunate, though to have family/friends who have some business interests because he has a better chance of providing for his wife and kids than the average felon/offender. Thanks for letting us know about Gene and Jude’s being owned by the same family – I can avoid there, too.

You should move too cause i just looked up your neighborhood and you have neighbors on that list

  • Joseph Fosco

    Attention Readers:

KTF Media Group wishes to make clear that Gene & Judes Hot-dog stand in River Grove, Illinois, is not affiliated with the criminal actions of Frank J. Battaglia (as far as we know).

    Sincerely,

/s/ Joseph Fosco, Publisher, KTF Media Group

  • Very serious and reasonable adult

Joe, would you agree to have a live chat with Mr. Frank J. Battaglia on this KTF Media thread if he were to agree to it as well?

I do not know any of the parties involved, but it seems that some of your readers are calling for him to have his day in the court of public opinion. It could be very interesting.

    Thank you, sir.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Very,

I would interview Mr. Battaglia, however, I would insist it be done in person. He can contact me at jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com.

  • fair shake

there can be no doubt that mr. battaglia is a victim of cyber bullying here. he is being bullied around, and it sounds like his livlihood is being damaged.

    come on people. be fair.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Fair,

What about the young victim, was she bullied around at age 16?

  • Scott

Of course Gene and Jude’s is not connected in any way to the actions of Mr. Battaglia decades ago – actually, either is Nanna’s or Venuti’s. There is no law against them employing him or him owning the establishments. They are free to operate within the confines of the law. Also, he hasn’t been accused of doing anything wrong while working at either business. For all we know, he is completely rehabilitated – he hsn’t been convicted of anything since then. I was just pointing out that anonymous is dragging Gene and Jude’s into it by pointing out the same family owns that establishment. Why bring up a business that up to the point has been left out of the fray?

  • Joseph Fosco

Scott, thank you for your wise contributions.

  • Very serious and reasonable adult

Why would you insist that you meet in-person? Would it be to deter the interviewing from even happening? Just wondering.

  • Scott

The 16 year old has obviously become an afterthought here, and I apologize for anything I have done to perpetuate that. Also, I offer my sincere apologies if anything I have posted could be construed as bullying or encouraging others to bully or harass the man. He, nor his family deserves that. I think the point of the debate is the balance of the public’s right to know versus Mr. Battaglia’s right to move on with his life. In a perfect world those two contrasting sets of rights could coexist peacefully, but when they cannot, I feel that the law has established that the the rights of innocent children trump those of the offender.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Very,

I would want the opportunity to present my identification to Mr. Battaglia and see his as well, in order to confirm that we are dealing with the correct individuals.

  • Very serious and reasonable adult

    I see.

Do you know if Mr. Battaglia himself is aware of this article?

  • Joseph Fosco

Again, Scott, thank you for your wise contributions.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Very,

I will know for sure if I meet with him in person.

  • Scott

I meant to write that NEITHER Mr. Battaglia, or his family deserves to be bullied or harassed, but somehow I deleted the word neither. I am forced to apologize again!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Battaglia (pedophile) supporters,

Please be advised the number of comments on the Battaglia piece is about to reach the ‘popular articles’ chart. Articles that hit the chart are prominently featured on KTF’s main page for a long term period.

    Thank you

  • OH REALLY?

Well, that should serve your purposes well if this truly is a public service announcement, right? Unless of course this thread is another attention-grabber!

Fosco, you should want this article to escalate, and continue to do what you can to keep fanning this thread to keep it alive.

But then again, it seems like the tide might turn at any time, and you might end up on the losing end of this thread, as well.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Oh,

I do want Battaglia on the chart. However, I want to point out that his supporters made it possible.

  • Anonymous

    Joe,

If you had half a brain you would see that my comments were in regard to the family and what you are doing to them. Find a new hobby this one isn’t working out for you. My praryers to the family for this sad display of Joe Fosco.

  • Harlem Playboy

    Dear Joe,
I am requesting that you not go through with an article on Nick G. Instead, just go into detail on him a little on the Michael Magnafichi thread or some other thread in order to satisfy some of the reader’s interests.
Quite frankly, this is beginning to disturb me. What started out as some simple conversation about some of the local outfit members (both present and past) has turned into something quite bizare.
Where does it all end? I really think an article on him would only make things worse. One of the commentors even said that things were going to get “wet and wild.” I think that this is a true sign of a disaster just waiting to happen.
Joe, for the sake of closure, let’s all just put this thing behind us and move on. Please just fullfil my request and do not publish the article.
I am a man of God and I do not need any additional stress and aggravation in my life. Nowadays, I try living my life according to God’s word. I enjoy reading your articles but I do not like feeling threatened. I have not commented for a little while now. Lastly Joe, I have prayed for you several times in regards to your situation, therefore I feel like we are on the same page with a lot of our thoughts.
I know that in the past, I have come across as sort of a jokster (I can’t help it, it’s just my nature) but I really am being sincere here as I feel like this may be getting a little too crazy.
If you want, I will even come clean with my true identity (if you want). Please respond to me and let me know if you would like me to email you directly.
Trust me on this one Joe, an article on him would not be a good idea.

  • Dear Anonymous

    Dear Anonymous,

Are you related to the family? I ask because again and again you have mentioned how devasting Joe’s article has been on their spirits. Someone else on here mentioned that they know Frank and that he thinks the articles is a real hoot. What is the story with you?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Anonymous,

Sometimes I ignore dumb comments as I initially decided to do with respect to your mention of the ‘family’ factor. However, since you are pushing the issue, I will respond.

It is not my fault (or the fault of anyone else other than Frank J. Battaglia) that Frank J. Battaglia’s family suffers over the sex offense case. Frank J. Battaglia created the horrible situation for his family.

I will make Battaglia a deal, if he could persuade Pat Guinn to grant a pardon and be removed from the Illinois Sex Offenders Website, I will consider removing this article. Until then the article remains.

I am disappointed that I have not read about remorse on Bataglia’s part (out of roughly 200 comments – no remorse). Most people on this thread seem to have little or no concern for the victim and his or her family. I wonder if the emotional baggage involved in the molestation case has created personal problems for the victim? I wonder if the victim has issues holding a job over the haunts of what happened at the hands of Frank J. Battaglia. I wonder if anyone in the victims family was unable to hold a job or run a business over the depression involved in being victimized by a child molester?

  • Richie Valens

I for one still want to read the Nick Gio blog. I think it will surpass this one in popularity.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Richie,

The Gio blog might do well, but we are focusing on child molester Frank J. Battaglia right now. Thanks.

  • Scott

It’s also about trying to avoid a repeat of what happened, and the rights of the offender are trumped by the rights of the potential victims. Once a person become an offender he has forsaken some of his rights. It’s unfortunate that his family needs to suffer, they don’t deserve it, and hopefully their suffering can be mitigated somehow. Having said that, in my opinion, the rights of the potential victims take precedence because of the horrific effects these types of crimes inflict on the victims.

  • Joseph Fosco

Thank you Scott for adding to my points. You offer great knowledge. Thank you.

  • jen

Enjoy your five no scratch that two min of fame! You are a pathetic man and seem upset that Nana’s is much more successful than you and your bad journalism skills will ever be! You are a loser and just as bad as these criminals. I would be ashamed if I was realated to you!

  • Fake Harlem

    Dear Real Harlem Playboy,
I didn’t mean to for you to feel threatened by miming you. You weren’t even the worst of the Gio enquirers. I want to hear about Gio, as well. Someone else introduced the Gio theme on here and it was a dumb, harmless joke. Please allow Joe to proceed as planned. I won’t do it again.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jen,

    Thank you for your opinion.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

  • Joseph Fosco

Convicted child molester Frank J. Battaglia must leave his post as general manager of Venuti’s. Thank you.

  • Harlem Playboy

    ATTENTION:

I, Harlem Playboy, am never going to read or comment on Nic Gio EVER again.
I DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIM OR ANYTHING THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM.
I have never had anything to do with him and I will never have anything to do with him in the future.
If Joe does an article on him, I probably will not even read it and if I do, I will definitely not comment because he does not interest me.
He never did. His name came up and I commented a few times and that’s all.
I AM COMPLETELY OUT OF IT.
I REPEAT: I AM COMPLETELY OUT OF IT.
Thank you in advance, everyone, for never bringing me into this conversation ever again.
    Goodbye and God Bless.

Frank J. Battaglia is a child molester!!!!!!

  • norfugitlauheenyia

    Anthony,

I understand you being against Mr. Paddle, but Mr. Battaglia? Come on! You have an Italian last name. What’s your problem?

  • norfugitlauheenyia

There could be legal ramifications from Mr. Fosco calling for Battaglia to resign. I sure hope Mr. F. is ready for this.

  • norfugitlauheenyia

Mr. Fosco, what if Battaglia and the restaurant owners call for your staff to depose you as the publisher of this website?

You are potentially facing some criminal and/or civil responses.

  • norfugitlauheenyia

Whether or not this is indeed a public service–which I think it is–I would hate to see Mr. Fosco end up in jail in Bensenville, Illinois.

  • Bonafiore

Is John Kass in a position to know why Rudy Fratto called you a pervert? Even it is false, do you think Rudy Fratto or his wife or kids emailed Kass or pulled him aside to fill his ears with the alleged slanderous rumor?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Norfug…,

I would have responded a few minutes earlier, however, I was busy laughing. I welcome a deposition. Thank you.

  • Scott

Kinda interesting that Rudy Fratto called you a pervert, I wonder how he feels about his daughter working alongside someone listed on the Sex Offender Registry. Do you think he considers him a pervert? Just asking.

  • Bonafiore

If Battaglia works with Rudy’s daughter, what is to stop her from telling him about the story behind their “pervert” claim?

What if Battaglia responds with an article of his own, disclosing what the Fratto’s allege are your own improprieties?

That would really be a bazooka shot against your reputation.

I don’t hope this happens, but I thought I ought to raise the question.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bonafiore,

You can find John Kass’ email address on the internet, email him and ask him the questions you have. Thanks.

  • Bonafiore

    Joe,

Don’t put ideas in people’s heads. I won’t do what you are suggesting. But if Kass were to corroborate the Fratto family’s story, that would be a DOUBLE bazooka shot against you. There would be no more website anymore.

I pray that there is no truth in what they say.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bonafiore,

I have already discussed my ancient criminal convictions (non sex related) in an article by Alex Sharp titled, “An Interview With Joseph Fosco.”
If Battaglia writes anything new about me, he better be able to back it up. I can back up what I wrote about him. Thanks.

  • Bonafiore

Is Kass friends with the Fratto’s?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bonafiore,

John Kass is not a witness (accept – possibly – in the crimes against me by the Fratto’s at Rudy’s sentencing hearing), nor is he a judge, prosecutor, or juror, coupled with the fact that I have not committed any crimes beyond what is alleged in the ancient convictions (non sex related) that I have revealed in the article, titled “An Interview With Joseph Fosco.” Therefore, I am not the least bit worried about a thing. As I said, whoever decides to write anything about me, including John Kass – it better be backed up substantially. If a writer relies on concrete evidence to support a negative story about me (aside from the facts I have already disclosed in my interview by Alex Sharp – via KTF), there will be nothing to write about.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, I thank you for your readership.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bonafiore,

In my opinion, Kass is friends with anyone that gives him information – true or false. However, he is smart enough to weed out the false (or doubtful) information and not write about it.

    Thanks.

  • Bonafiore

    Thank you for the response.

Don’t get me wrong. believe what you say, but I am worried… I am worried about finding out through an anonymous poster, or perhaps one of the Fratto’s, or John Kass, or from Mr. Battaglia himself that these claims are true. What if they write on here with irrefutable evidence?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Bonafiore,

It is my policy to immediately delete libelous information from the threads. If they publish the truth, it will remain on the thread. If it is libelous, it will go immediately. I am the best judge to know if what is said about me is libelous or not.

As to the use of the word ‘pervet’, read the information below.

I am sure the Tribune and Kass would defend their use of the quote by relying on my teenage criminal record (again, which is non sexual). Kass knows this, which is why he felt okay in printing it. Kass did not print a number of other things Rudy tried to further smear me with. Kass picked the one word Rudy espoused that has a number of broad meanings – pervert. Kass is very smart and he enjoys the art of using words against people to make an interesting story and I am the same way. I cannot be Joe Fosco and be mad at Kass for what he does – all I can say is that Kass might find himself at the other end of a word someday. lol

  • Joseph Fosco

However, in some cases, I have simply addressed libelous information by issuing disclaimers. Thank you.

  • Bonafiore

Thank you for your answer. And again, I do not believe that you perpetrated any sex crimes, Joseph Fosco.

But what if one of the Fratto’s, or John Kass, or Mr. Battaglia, or someone with inside knowledge were to write an exhaustive disclaimer, followed by an exhaustive description of what they alleged is perverted behavior perpetrated by you? (You do this all the time.) That would put them safely beyond the boundaries of libel, wouldn’t it?

I imagine you would just delete it, but that’s not really playing fair, when you consider all the times you’ve done it.

The reason I am brining this up is that it sounds like Battaglia’s crew is really circling the wagons, and have obviously sent some of their agents over here to mess with you. I’m just saying I can see this particular blog blowing up in your face.

Take care, and may God bless the internet.

  • buddy

Please everybody leave Gene n Jude’s out of this!!! Nana’s and Gene N Jude’s have different ownership’s all together. Please respect this request.

  • fraud finder

    Fosco-
You have been quick to point out that the time span since the Battaglia incident was of little consideration to the victim; however, in an earlier post you make note of the 18 year time span since you were convicted of your felony intimidation and communicating with a witness charges. “As a convicted criminal from a crime 18-years ago (granted I was never sentenced to jail)”. How does the victim in your case feel 18 years later? Was your victim able to go with his/her life as you were able to do with yours? Did the emotional baggage involved in your case create personal problems for the victim? Why is the period between the crime and now a factor in your case and not in his? All of these questions you are asking must have been asked of you at some point, and your regurgitation of them in this circumstance makes you a fraud. I know you claim to be set up, framed, misinformed, a victim of suspicious circumstances, etc.., but I don’t buy it. I’m quite certain the felony convictions which were levied on you, were done for a reason that extends beyond “legal pressure from your attorney”. I am sure you have rationalized your actions as “no biggie’s” in the criminal arena, but I am sure your victim doesn’t feel that way. You portray Battaglia as a “predator” based upon his past issue (although he is not listed as a predator on the Illinois Registered Sex Offender Web Site), yet given the charges you were convicted of, how are we to believe that you go about your “journalism” career with any level of legitimacy or integrity? Further to my journalistic integrity point, the only facts I saw in your piece where his name, address, place of work, and that the State does not require registered offenders to list their place of employment. All the rest was either inaccurate (calling him a “child sexual predator”… I know tomato, tomoto in your eyes but not really) or speculation (“Venuti’s allowed this situation”, “Village of Addison doesn’t care”).
You also point out that you were not sentenced to jail, a factor that is obviously important when downplaying the seriousness of your crimes. While I am not beginning to say that any criminal sexual act is not serious, if it is established Battaglia was never sentenced to jail, would it be factor at all to you? If that wouldn’t matter to you, the fact you did no time should be of no consequence nor even mentioned when discussing your past. If he did not do time, and given the seriousness of the charges, perhaps it was not such an open and shut case, just as you claim yours wasn’t. Your point is valid about continually fighting the charges, getting a pardon, exhausting every option, but maybe his pardon case got derailed by an “extremely obese man” as you claim yours did (that part of the Alex Sharp interview makes me chuckle).
Finally I agree that the victim and the family experienced a great deal of pain as a result of this incident, just as I am sure your victim and his/her family did. The double standard at which you have separated your criminal history from the criminal history of others is a complete joke, but whatever helps you sleep at night. You advertise yourself as a voice for the people, yet how many people have actually sought you and thanked you for your public services, compared to the number of people who have chastised you for printing things in the manner in which you do? You have convinced me that you are nothing more than a publicity whore, out to make a name for yourself because your first, second, and third tries to be somebody in this world didn’t work out so well. Contrary to what you think, there are not many people who know who Joe Fosco is, and I sure hope it continues that way.

  • Bonafiore

You are on pace for close to half a million visits this year. That’s pretty close to the number of people who access Kass’ articles per year. A lot of people are going to read this.

I imagine with that kind of negative publicity, one of your targets is going to pull some stunt to try to ruin you…or at least get even.

    (I hope this doesn’t happen.)

  • Bonafiore

I raise an interesting point @ 5:44 PM. Please do not let the apt comments by “fraud finder” cause you to ignore mine.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Bonafire,

Your subtle threats do not scare me. Yes, I will delete libelous information against me. If you call that unfair, stop reading my articles. In addition, I will likely take legal action as well. Why Battaglia has not done so, given the way his supporters have made their arguments – is a little surprising to me. Please be advised in Illinois, the statute of limitations is only one year for libel. In other words, Battaglia would have to file his false claim of libel by next February.

Again, on behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

PS – Frank J. Battaglia is a pedophile and must step down (if he has not done so already) as general manager of Venuti’s Banquets in Addison, Illinois.

  • Lion

    Dear F.F.,

With respect to Mr. Fosco, you have in my opinion successfully turned the tables on him.

Battaglia may not be a saint, but he deserves a fairer shake.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Fraud-finder,

Today, I am friends with the listed victims in the intimidation case that I faced several years ago. I expressed remorse to them personally, for what they had to deal with. I know they are fine today. In fact, the judge in the case later married me to my former wife and remains a close friend (I did not know him while the case was pending).

Intimidation (though serious) is far different from child molestation. The law does not require offenders guilty of intimidation to register on a list published on the internet. However, I made an internet record of my own situation in the “Interview With Joseph Fosco.” If you think offenders guilty of intimidation should be on a list like sex offenders, call your local congressman. I would be glad to cooperate with the program – as I said, I already went public with it for the world to see.

Child Sex Offender are a different kind of criminal than others not guilty of sex offenses – this is a proven fact.

    Your argument is silly.

Convicted pedophile Frank J. Battaglia is a sex offender and must not have access to children unless their parents are aware of the situation. Thanks.

  • …i’m just saying

yes, however, people on the sex offender site don’t have the option of lamely explaining away their offense because they don’t moderate or own that particular domain. do you see the difference?

    …i’m just saying

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear I’M,

The real difference is one case is a sex offense and the other is not.

Frank J. Battaglia is a convicted child sex offender and I am not.

Frank J. Battaglia is (if he is still the general manager of Venuti’s) in control of an establishment with access to areas that have teenagers and alcohol.

    Thank you.

  • Gill

Is the Gio article still a go? I can’t wait to read it.

    –not trying to distract!

  • Joseph Fosco

Yes, Gill. I know you are not trying to distract from our focus on convicted pedophile, Frank J. Battaglia. Thanks.

  • Gill

Is there any kind of outfit connection with this Battaglia?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Gill,

I am not sure. I would not be surprised if there is.

  • GOLDEN BEAR

I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE READING ALL THE COMMENTS ON THIS BATTAGLIA SITUATION, I CANT HOLD MY TONGUE ANYMORE. WHILE MY 3 CHILDREN ARE ASLEEP IN THERE ROOMS SAFE. I MAKES ME WONDER WHAT KIND OF PERSON CAN TAKE THE TIME TO DEFEND A PERSON OF WHICH WE SPEAK OF. ALL I CAN ASSUME IS THAT THESE PROTECTORS OF THE PREDATOR HAVE NO CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN. AND THE RIDICULIOUS ASSUMPTION THAT A 16 YEAR OLD IS CLOSE TO ADULTHOOD AND NOT AS SERIOUS AS A YOUNGER CHILD COULDNT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH, AT 16 OUR CHILDREN ARE AT RISK EVEN MORE BECAUSE THEY ARE AT AN AWKWARD PHASE, HOW DO WE TREAT THEM, DO WE GIVE THEM SLACK TO LEARN ON THEIR OWN OR DO WE HOLD ON TILL 18 OR OLDER AND PROTECT THEM WITH EVERYTHING INCLUDING LOCK AND KEY. WHEN I WAS 16 I THOUGHT I KNEW EVERYTHING AND NOW I REALIZE I WAS STILL A BABY BABY BABY BABY !!! FACT IS MY CHILDREN ARE SAFE AND SOUND AND I WILL DO ALL I CAN TO KEEP THEM THAT WAY. I FEEL FOR THE FATHER OF THIS 16 YEAR OLD, ALL I KNOW IS I COULDNT IMAGINE A WORSE SCENARIO THAN MY DAUGHTER BEING VIOLIATED BY A GROWN MAN. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU PIGS WHO WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO DEFEND A CREEP AND ATTACK MR FOSCO!!!! I APOLIGIZE FOR ALL THE SPELLING ERRORS IM FRUSTRATED WITH THIS WHOLE THING.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Thank you Golden.

  • Exception to every rule

In general, I’m against pervs and felons. But on RARE occasions there are exceptions to the rule. Example: self defense or a joke gone wrong. Has anyone considered that this could be the case here?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Exception,

The joke went right – the joke of your comment is hysterical!

  • Exception to every rule

My comment was not meant to be a joke at all.

Listen. I’m not necessarily talking about Battaglia, but jokes such as mooning and passing gas on someone have resulted in sex crime convictions before. Which is totally unfair. I am not kidding. People have ended up on sex offender websites because of this kind of joking. Haven’t you ever mooned or passed gas on someone before? Weren’t you ever a kid? Have you ever worked in an office? That’s what I thought.

Now, imagine yourself having to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life because of harmless jokes such as those. Totally, totally unfair that something like that could result in a felony sex crime conviction. It has happened. Just Google it.

  • Exception to every rule

Self defense, too! If an act of self defense is wrongly construed as being sexual, you could end up with a felony sex crime conviction. If a woman is attacking you and you happen grab her breasts (to push her away from you)–say hello to the Illinois Sex Offender list.

If a woman is about to fall on the L-tracks, and you grab her buttocks, breasts, or crotch (or even small of her back), WHILE SAVING HER LIFE, say hello to the Illinois Sex Offender list.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Exception,

You raise extremely valid points. There are a number of aspects of the sex offender’s registry that I do not agree with.

    Examples:

    - An 18-year-old boy in possession of a topless photo of his 16.5-year-old girlfriend
    - Someone peeing in the forest preserve

However, in Battaglia’s case, it does not come close to appearing as a misunderstanding. It clearly states that he was 45 years old and the victim was 16.

According to Battaglia’s physical description on the sex offender’s website, he seems to be a big person. I cannot picture a 16-year old going after him in a violent way. In fact, I would think a 16-year old would want to run away from a person his size.

  • Exception to every rule

You mention Battaglia’s case. Did someone fill you in on what happened?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Exception,

I am aware of the facts that came out in court.

  • Exception to every rule

Based on your responses to my remarks, I can only surmise that Battaglia didn’t

    1. moon the victim
    2. pass gas on the victim
    3. publicly urinate in view of the victim

I guess it goes without saying that he also wasn’t

(4.) an 18-year old in possession of a topless photo of his 16.5-year-old girlfriend

    Am I correct?

And how did you acquire this information? Public records?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Exception,

I will not reveal my source. Sorry.

  • responsibility

don’t you think you’ve overdone it on battaglia a little bit? you pretty much have totally blown his ass (ie, reputation) to smithereens. his name is mud, i’m sure.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Responsibility,

My only intention in writing the Battaglia piece is to be a constant reminder to the parents in Addison, Illinois, that a convicted child molester is running rampant inside of Venuti’s Banquets as general manager. Thank you.

  • responsibility

you’ve blown is ass into oblivion already, though. his pals put up these long angry screeds on here, but there’s no getting around the fact that this guy (battaglia) is who he is, and has done what he’s done. no matter how eloquent the counter-arguments are, you blasted his balls off. geez, man. have mercy!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Responsibility,

Some might say it is convicted pedophile Frank J. Battaglia’s penis that should be blasted off.

  • Exception to every rule

    (ROLLING ON THE FLOOR, LAUGHING)

  • Concerned parent

Does anyone know all the facts on the case? What were the circumstances that led to this situation? What kind of relationship did the he have with the girl? Was he a friend of the family? Relative? Student/teacher? Complete strangers? Is this public record?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Concerned,

I will publish the documents my collogue has very soon. Thanks.

  • Concerned parent

I hope your colleague responds quickly. I am from the area and this case reminds me of a similar incident involving a teacher/student relationship at local high school.

  • Roger

Are public service announcements going to be more frequent? if yes, I have to check out this site more often.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Yes Roger – thank you.

    Dear Concerned,
It should be posted by Wednesday.

  • PJ

Two points. First, if Frank Battaglia is related to the legendary mobster Teets Battaglia, and Teets was still alive and well, we wouldn’t be having this conversation because Frank would likely have turned up missing. I understand the mob to be intolerant of crimes against kids and wives. Secondarily, if Frank is manager of a large restaurant/banquet operation he almost certainly has access to computers. That means he’s reading this website and has access to everything else that is available via the internet.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear PJ,

Teets was one of my father’s closest friends. I am not proud of it, but it is true. Teets, Joe Shine (who I was named after), my relative Jack ‘Romie’ Nappi and another fellow named Art – were a bit of a rat pack in the 1960’s. I do not mean the use of the word ‘rat’ in a negative way. If my father were alive today and asked me to leave Frank J. Battaglia alone, I would say, “I love you dad, but, I cannot help you on this one” (assuming Frank is related to my fathers late friend Teets). Furthermore, my father would have no sympathy for a pedophile.

  • PJ

Was Joe Shine the same as “N*gg*r” Joe Amato?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear PJ,

    No.

  • Monsuto

What if you drive Battaglia to suicide or violence? Would you regret how far you’ve taken this, or do you feel you have not taken it far enough?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Monsuto,

Let us wonder if Battaglia’s victim is contemplating violence or suicide? God forbid.

Battaglia is the one taking it too far. He needs to confirm that he is no longer exposing himself to teenagers at Venuti’s, without notifying their parents. As much as I would like to think everyone in the entire world reads KTF Media Group, I know better. Therefore, something in addition to my announcement must be in place to keep parents that bring their children to Venuti’s informed of Battaglia’s deplorable background with children.

  • Vibr8

Personally, i believe that trust is earned. I’m wondering what the author of this article thinks of the commenters who have testified to Mr. Battaglia’s warmth, love, and trustworthiness towards children. A few have said that they grew up around him. Surely they must have a reason to trust him, should they not?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Vib,

Testimony is done under oath in person, not anonymously thru a blog.

  • Vibr8

I don’t understand your reply to this question: ” I’m wondering what the author of this article thinks of the commenters who have testified to Mr. Battaglia’s warmth, love, and trustworthiness towards children. A few have said that they grew up around him. Surely they must have a reason to trust him, should they not?”

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Vib,

The testimony that I would consider credible is done under oath in person, not anonymously thru a blog.

  • Gallardo

I cant believe all you sick morons defending this creep. Anyone who takes advantage of a child in this manner is very sick and dangerous. Even worse there is no cure for this sickness.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Readers:

Please do not be moved by the number of comments that came in on this thread. I account for nearly half of them since I respond to almost every comment that comes in. Of the half that is not me, less than 15 different IP addresses represent the others. Approximately five of the other commenter’s seem to support the pedophile (according to the number of IP addresses – not the number of screen names), which is not a large number at all. I am sure that an overwhelming majority of the thousands of viewers that have read the article that chose not to leave a comment would agree that Frank J. Battaglia is a pedophile and should not hold a position as general manager of an establishment that hosts minors and serves alcohol.

  • actually

    dear joe,

do you know what a T1 line is? i know dozens of people who read ktf media group from offices, libraries, and colleges.

offices and libraries will have a single T1 line that can accommodate one a hundred, or more, computers.

the only problem for you is, when you check an IP for a specific comment, you’re getting a single IP address and its for the T1 line–not for the individual computer or person.

this is how several/dozens of different people can appear to have the same IP. (internally, however, at their place of business or where ever, all the different systems have unique IP’s.)

so, just because you are getting only a few IP’s, doesn’t mean your getting only a few people commenting.

ten different people with ten different view points can post remarks and appear to have the same IP … if they are using the same T1 line.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Actually,

    Thank you for the education.

  • shorscht

That means you have more readers than you think. It’s up to you to decide whether that’s good or bad.

  • Joseph Fosco

I try to assess things modestly. In fact, I have technical support employees that deals with that stuff.

Of half the 270 commenter’s that are from other people besides me (since I respond to almost every comment), assuming the are all different people with the majority in support of convicted pedophile Frank J. Battaglia – it is still a small number compared to the thousands that read the article. Near 70-thousand hits, however 9-thousand distinct full page views. I realize these numbers are small compared to the Tribunes exposure. However, we will check in on the number after a few months and see what is going on.
I would assume the commenter’s are local.

  • Joseph Fosco

My previous comment relates to the Battaglia article alone.

  • Jan

I work in a place equipped with two T1 lines, and I share a quad with three other people, all of whom comment on here. I know that for a fact.

Other people here also read and comment. Everyone is mainly (for the most part) pro-Joe Fosco. I’d estimate that there’s close to 20 people in total, represented by only two possible IP’s.

I have a problem with what you are saying, Joe and others. There has not been any pro-sex offender comments on here. There has been pro-family commentary, as well as people who have a problem with your methods.

If you want to take it s being pro-sex offender, that simply doesn’t seem to be the case.

At times you come off as being very sanctimonious, which doesn’t jibe with your background (as revealed in that interview with you).

  • Jan

You speak of technical support employees, and in the past you have mentioned a Board of Trustees or Directors or something. I’m curious: Does KTF have offices that you research, write, and respond from? Is it a for-profit entity?

  • Dan In Real Life

    Readers,

Joe Fosco’s March 29th, 9:30p.m. comment is, in my humble opinion, the funniest comment in the history of KTF Media Group. Who says publisher’s don’t have any fun?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jan,

I am a changed man. Over the last 5-10 years I have made a complete 180 degree turn.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jan,

Unlike sex offenders, I was a candidate for change.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jan,

KTF does have offices. KTF and CCOC are not 501c3′s. We do not accept or seek donations of any kind – not now – not ever.

    Thank you.

  • mighty duck

Any updates? Is Battaglia still employed?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Mighty,

No updates yet. I will let you know when we hear something. And, if he remains employed as Venuti’s General Manager, we’ll enjoy knowing that we are reaching parents in the community – spreading awareness that a pedophile exists near children.

  • Perry

    Joe,

    I’m glad to hear that.

I guess I always imagined that you operated out of your parents’ basement or friend’s home-office located in a studio apartment or something. Somewhere you can take naps and have immediate access to munchies and soda and especially a bathroom and a TV set. (In fact, I picture you wearing a Chicago Bears XXL t-shirt, perched on the toilet, writing / commenting via a virus-ridden Acer or Dell laptop.) For some reason, I just can’t imagine you staving off anonymous critics from the comfort of a respectable office, while dressed in business-casual attire, sipping a latte.

This is just a visual that I’m getting, so please do not take offense.

I’m sorry, but it’s hard to envision you opening invoices from research database companies, and being like, “Alex, do you believe this? EBSCO is really planning to f*ck us next fiscal year. Look at this bill! I know, I know. Forty-thousand dollars? Ha! A mere trifle. But it doesn’t make sense, considering that Lexus is lowering their annual, OmniFile is giving us three months for free, and Raiser’s Edge has extended their trial-period through the end of August!!! [phone rings loudly] Hello? Ah, yes, how are you Congressman? Hmm, I’m not sure how to answer your questions. Allow me to provide you with KTF Media Group’s legal team’s contact information. I’m sure they can help. And, as always, thank you for your call.”

How many employees do you have?
    What is the hiring process?
How and where do you conduct your research?
Who sits on the Board of Directors for your organization?

I would find it strange if you didn’t answer these questions.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Perry,

You made me laugh, thank you.

As to your four questions about KTF Media Group, our policy requires you to direct your request for information to me at jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com – we endeavor to keep issues related to our administrative process out of the comment threads.

    Thank you.

  • nelly

    Joe,

Did you can Charles Sullivan’s ass or what?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Nelly,

Our policy prohibits me from providing details on former associates. Thank you for your interest in KTF Media Group.

  • nelly

I assume that you fired his ass for monkeying around the office or too-rough-for-work horseplay. There’s always the guy who take it a little to far, you know.

Joe, did he get fired for what I mentioned, or were there ideological disagreements.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Readers:

Privacy laws pertaining to children that have been molested such as Battaglia’s victim, prevent me from acquiring the victims name. Therefore, I am not sure of the sex of the victim. Does anyone know if the victim is male or female?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Readers:

I will ignore questions that I cannot answer on here. Thank you.

  • Vince

    Battaglia gay?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Vince,

    Anything is possible.

  • Vince

I heard that when child victims names are not revealed that means the victim is the same sex as the molester.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Vince,

I am not sure I agree with you. I will look in to it. Although, I never met Frank Battaglia, so I do not know if he is gay or not. I understand he has children, but Bob Reed had a daughter. Battaglia’s sexual preference is not the issue here. If he is gay, so what? I am concerned with the fact that he is a convicted child molester, working in an establishment that hosts children and serves alcohol.

  • Mystified Reader

    Readers,

The publisher of this website has just revealed the fact that he has absolutely ZERO idea who Battaglia’s victim is–to the extent that he is totally unaware his or her sex. In my opinion, this could be interpreted as a monumental display of insensitivity; FAR greater, in fact, than the insensitivity that was put on display by numerous participants on the “Jerry Navarro’s Silent Struggle Against Mary Ann Mungo Finally Gets A Voice” blog with regard to the former-couple’s children. Personally, I subscribe to this interpretation.

Has Joe Fosco stopped to consider the possibility that the victim in this sitution has attempted to put this behind him/her? What if the victim wants this matter laid to rest, and here comes Joe Fosco (yet again), trotting it out for some unknown reason?

We need to ask if this is responsible journalism.

    Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Myst,

We are having afterthoughts in a thread. The thread conversations are not journalism – not in my opinion.

I say things in threads that I would never put in an article. In fact, I let my hair down entirely in the threads – much different from my work as a journalist.

Thank you for making an interesting point.

  • preston d.

    so what else is knew?

  • Joseph Fosco

Anyone that does not like the thread conversations here can find another thread.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Preston,

Not much new. The thread seems to be ending. Now we will rejoice in knowing that KTF Media will continue displaying its public service message to the community about convicted child molester Frank J. Battaglia.

  • Scott

Mystified Reader: Of course he has no idea who the victim is – and that’s the way it’s supposed to be – unless the victim wants his/her name or identity made public.

  • Mystified Reader

    Readers,

What does it say about Joe Fosco that he can write an article about the likes of Mr. Battaglia (a convicted sex offender), but still cannot seem to provide an explanation or adequately defend himself with regard to his actions (yet again) as a journalist?

Please be advised that Joe is finally coming under real scrutiny, but he has simultaneously declared this thread to be drawing to an end. Interesting timing, wouldn’t you say?

  • Scott

Why would/should Fosco know the victim’s identity? The victim’s identity should be protected. If the victim was hurt by reading this thread, he/she could simply not go to this site, not read the article or thread, and perhaps contact Mr. Fosco and discuss the situation with him. I would venture to say that there is a good chance that a victim of this kind of offense would not want others to be exploited and hurt like he/she was. This is all public information, it’s just nobody can reference every person they meet against the registry, and this article helps make the innocent public aware.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Myst,

Is the Sex Offenders Website inadequate?

  • Scott

I believe that Fosco’s statement indicates he feels that all the meaningful and thought-provoking debate has already taken place and what’s left here is useless back and forth – but I cannot speak for him.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Scott,

Actually, you spoke for me very well. Thank you.

  • Mystified Reader

In my opinion, a recurring theme on these blogs is what appears to be Joe’s misplaced sense of self-regard. Battaglia has been outted, which isn’t big deal if he is already on the state’s list.

It was very troubling to find out, however, that the victim’s interests don’t seem to have been taken into consideration, at all, from the very beginning.

I got physically ill to read, 300-comments into this, Joe ask, “Does anyone know if the victim is male or female?”

  • just wondering

Hey mystified reader and all the other negative people…Joe is writing about a child molester why should the child molester be protected.?If any one else wrote an article, ect about a child molester or say the were on the Oprah show would the story be more crediable??Does the sex offenders list lie? If any of you readers have children would you feel ok with the situation???

  • Mystified Reader

Read the 7:21 comment by Fosco. It displays NO concern whatsoever for the victim. Thank you.

By the way: no one is pro-Battaglia, Joe.

  • Vince

    Mysty,

Your wife not home yet? Getting ready to beat her tonight?

  • Mystified Reader

    Vince,
    I am female.

    Readers,
If you care to notice the succession of comments, it is now clear what is occurring. Thank you.

  • Mystified Reader

I am being browbeaten and taunted for taking the victim’s interests into consideration. Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Readers:

Myst has been making some good points. I am going to take the entire site down now.

  • Vince

    Joe, we know your joking.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Vince,

Okay, you are right. I could not let a child molester like Frank J. Battaglia get off that easy. lol

  • Scott

Honestly, I feel that the people defending Battaglia are the people who have no regard for the victim. By passing the offense off as something inconsequential that happened so long ago, they are trying to downplay the seriousness of the crime, and are saying that the victim, potential victims, and the law are all inconsequential, insignificant – and quite inconvenient. I think that last part is the real point of contention for his staunch defenders – this is all so damn inconvenient.

  • Joseph Fosco

Scott people are going to begin to think I am paying you. Thank you very much.

  • Scott

    I wish!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Scott,

If you would consider making some literary contributions to KTF, I would be happy to discuss it with you, via jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com.

If you would rather remain a reader, no hard feelings – I understand.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your readership.

  • debbie

    Joe,
Can i make some literary contributions to this web site?I believe i could get my point across.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Debbie,

I do not think our editors could tone your stuff down. lol

  • jessica gonzalez

FRANK J. BATTAGLIA IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED AT VENUTI’S RESTAURANT/BANQUETS.!!!!!!!!!

  • buddy

Jessica- How do u know for sure? Do U work There

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jessica,

Are you at liberty to share with us how you come to reach this conclusion?

  • buddy

Fosco- it looks like you got what you wanted.

  • Joseph Fosco

If this information is correct, good for the community. However, the article will remain in tact as it is our policy not to remove our articles. And, we need to keep attention on convicted child molesters like Frank J. Battaglia.

  • jessica gonzalez

I TOLD YOU I WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF THE FAMILY AND I WOULD INFORM THE FAMILY OF THIS INCIDENT! THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS OR OF YOUR WEBSITE… THEY DID WHAT THEY HAD TO DO!!

  • jessica gonzalez

    MR FASCO.
CAN U PLEASE TAKE VENUTIS NAME OFF YOUR WEBSITE. SINCE HE IS NO LONGER WORKING THERE!!! THATS ALL THEY ASKED OF YOU SINCE THEY DID WHAT *YOU* WANTED!!!..

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jessica,

If you are correct, yes, Battaglia did what he had to do. However, he should not have taken the position in the first place. Therefore, I am satisfied with keeping the public service message up to ensure that Battaglia not make the same mistake twice.

    Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Jessica,

The article is dated. Battaglia was on staff when the article was published. Our policy prohibits me from removing the piece. In addition, I want to keep the public service message live as a precaution – Battaglia needs to be reminded that his criminal history is nothing to discount.

If the Venuti family or their attorney emails me a letter confirming your information, I will publish the letter as an update to the article.

    Thank you.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Attention Readers:

I urge you not to trust information via unknown commenter’s on KTF Media Group that espouse that convicted child molester Frank J. Battaglia is no longer employed by Venuti’s Banquets in Addison, Illinois, until I receive credible verification. I will update you as soon as I hear something – if I hear something.

    Thank you.

  • Frank Venuti

I am here to verify that Frank Battaglia is NO LONGER employed at Venutis Banquets. Please be reassured that we did not have previous information regarding his criminal background.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Frank Venuti,

I ask that you respond to what I am about to say.

Will you accept a phone call from one of my assistants and verify the authenticity of your message on this thread? I would instruct my assistant to call you at your business number. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    /s/ Joseph Fosco

  • Frank Venuti

Please call me at 630 376-1500 right away and ask for me, Frank Venuti. I will only be here for the next hour. Thanks.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Attention Readers:

This afternoon one of my assistants contacted the owner of Venuti’s Banquets in Addison, Illinois. Mr. Frank Venuti was very nice about the call. He claims that he had no prior knowledge of Frank J. Battaglia’s history of being a convicted child molester. He further stated that he “let him go” from his employment. Mr. Venuti explained that not even Battaglia’s business cards exist in the establishment – that his employment is over with. Mr. Venuti welcomed KTF Media Group to randomly inspect their establishment to see for ourselves that Battaglia will not be found there again.

I am not sure I buy that Venuti was unaware of Battaglia’s past, however, I do believe that he is gone and will not be back. Therefore, in the next 24-hours I will add an appropriate disclaimer to the original article – clearing Venuti’s of being the place where a convicted child molester can meet children at family weddings.

    Thank you.

  • http://n/a Regular Guy

Who is next on your hit list Mr. Fosco? I do not favor any of these convicted offenders but also do not favor ruining peoples lives after a 20 year conviction. There are way too many recent animals to go after. What was the real reason you picked Battaglia out of a hat as opposed to all the other current offenders and what of this Patal guy? It’s odd that of all the drunk bums you pick a guy out of a crowd who drinks where MM drinks on occasion. Were you by chance working this guy? Did you have him under watch? Or did somene from that bar cal you that night to let you know this Patal guy was drinking and driving. They would have to have a pretty big hard on to call you specifically and not just rat him out t the cops. Do you intend on picking others out of a hat ‘public service warnings’? If so please seriously let me know I have some really bad guys need to get off the street. Or just those with mystery connections to people you yourself are somehow connected to. You did not do it as a public service yo are too smart and devious for that. I am not trying to be a jerk just believe these are all legitimate questions. With all the animals in the world why these guys Mr. Fosco? I truly hate to say this but a lot of these guys are bound to snap and come for you. They are not the cool calculated types like JD or such. They are half cocked civilians who do stupid sh*t all the time. There has to be something it or some reason for you to write these things. We both know better than to say it is by a concerned citizen and strictly as a service to the general public at large.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Reg,

I am not devious – convicted child molesters are devious.

If you (or anyone) has a public service idea, please send it to me at jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com. I will check it out.

One of my viewers dropped the dime on Battaglia – I checked it out and discovered it was true. Now KTF has removed a child molester from a place that hosted children and served alcohol – nothing devious about that, right?

Next on the list (as you put it), is a certain judge in Crook County. It should be up in a few minutes, thank you.

    • Gotta change name for this

You should look into a judge named Daniel Miranda in MAYWOOD>  Horrible judge who looks into NOTHING any one be for him says.  He has had stories done on him be for, one of the cook county judges who bills the city for 40 hours, but works about 20.
He favors women so so freaking bad, all men have to do two way driving.  All men get the minimum, full custody for most women.  Its a freaking joke, my sons mother is LITERALLY a diagnosed pathalogical liar who suffers as well from chemical imbalances.  FULL CUSTODY.  My son shares a room with his mom, living in his grand parents house.
I have my own place, he has his own room, im in the big brother of America club. ITs a freaking joke how that man has F”d ME

      • http://www.americannewspost.com Joseph Fosco

Danny ordered my first marriage invalid – I thought he was great. However, I do know someone who feels differently about him. Email me info on him, I would be glad to look at it.

  • Joseph Fosco
  • nanas regular

dear mr fosco i am a regualr at nanas italian beef and i would like to say that mr frank battagila is a very respectful person and i feel he knows what he did was wrong but like people are saying it was 20 years ago. i think you are taking this way to far. your trying to ruin someones business and life. he is not the monester you are making him out to be.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Nana’s reg,

If John Gacy would have stopped at molestation and not killed, would you go in to his hot-dog stand today (30-years later)?

  • nanas regular

your talking about two different people john gacy was a serial killer he murdered people mr battagila made a mistake he didnt murder a number of people.

  • Joseph Fosco

Gacy molested and murdered. Again, if Gacy stopped at molesting and did not continue to the next infraction, would you eat at his hot-dog stand today – 32 years later?

  • Referee

    Joe,

Are you going to at least extend your hand in friendship to Mr. Battaglia now that this is over? You know, like all good sports do.

You two were adversaries, and you soundly trounced him. The least you could do is sit down and have a beer or a cup of coffee with the man.

  • nanas regular

to answer your question no but i go to nanas almost every day and i see little children in there almost every day all day and mr b is there and i have never seen a problem. thats the difference he learned what he did gacy wouldnt have.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Ref,

The thought of having a drink with a 6ft 4-inch sex offender is not my idea of a social activity. No, I would not be interested in meeting him. Prior to Frank Venuti releasing a statement on the matter, I would have met with Battaglia to interview him. However, I do not believe it is necessary now.

  • Referee

    Joe,

Do you consider yourself friends with Mr. Battaglia now that this is over? Forget about having a drink with him if it’s that much out of the question.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Ref,

This will be my last answer to silly questions today. No, I do not consider Battaglia (or any other molester) a friend. Thank you.

  • ALERT ALERT WARNING!!!

    Staff,

There is a man who lives by me, and his name is Mr. Pipitucci. Now, on paper, “Pipitucci” looks about as good or bad as any other Italian name. The thing is, though, “Pipitucci” is pronounced “pee pee touchy.” So, the guy has the name of a molester. Obviously, he is one.

Mr. Pipitucci lives in a dilapidated shanty and is unemployed. (hmmmm, I wonder why?) He has a very attractive looking lawn, which I is assume is just a lame effort to “keep up appearances”.

I have seen Mr. Pipitucci scold children who tread on his grass or hit baseballs onto his property. One time I saw some kids ring his doorbell and runaway before he could answer. (Mr. Pipitucci was in his underwear!)

I believe Mr. Pipitucci is a molester.

Will you PLEASE do a public service announcement about Mr. Pipitucci?

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Alert,

KTF Media Group is not a police agency – I repeat, ‘is not a police agency’.

If you know of anyone committing crimes, please call the police. If the subject is arrested, I will look in to the matter to determine if a PSA is appropriate. I usually focus on individuals that have been convicted of crimes. Thank you.

  • ALERT ALERT WARNING!!!

THE MAN’S NAME IS “PIPITUCCI” — “PEE PEE TOUCHY” — GET IT?

HE LIVES ALONE, LIVES IN A STRANGE HOME, AND YELLS AT CHILDREN. GET IT? HE IS PROBABLY A MOLESTER.

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ISSUE A WARNING ABOUT A MAN NAMED MR. “PIPITUCCI” — “PEE PEE TOUCHY”??

  • ALERT ALERT WARNING!!!

IT IS CLEAR THAT THERE MUST BE SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT FRANCIS BATTAGLIA IF HE IS THE ONLY MOLESTER THAT YOU CARE TO WARN THE PUBLIC ABOUT!!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Alert,

We are not law enforcement, sorry. Let me know if he is convicted after the case goes to trial. Thanks.

  • ALERT ALERT WARNING!!!

WELL HE IS OBVIOUSLY NOT CONVICTED OR HE WOULD BE IN JAIL. BUT I SEE THAT YOU WARN THE PUBLIC ABOUT MURDERERS WHO HAVEN’T BEEN CONVICTED OF MURDER. YOU MUST NOT GIVE A CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF KIDS IF THE NAME “PEE PEE TOUCHY” DOES STRIKE FEAR INTO YOU!

    THIS IS A SHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Alert,

The only time that I will warn the public about someone that is not convicted of the crime in question, is if a witness with credible information will meet with me in person and convince me that the information is real. And, I require an additional witness to corroborate it. If you can meet these requirements and wish to go further, please send me an email at jfosco@ktfmediagroup.com, I would be glad to schedule an appointment with you. Thanks.

  • Pooks

What’s the matter Joe? Get thrown out of another restaurant on Lake Street so you take revenge on them via the Internet? I understand that Battaglia was a sex offender. Venuti’s probably didn’t do a background check and should have. They will live and learn from this. However, let’s call this what it really is. You my dear are a hypocrite. I know who you are. You are a scumbag, piece of shit troublemaker. Since you came back on the scene in 2002 you have caused more trouble in more establishments. You and your pals Michael M and Keith were nothing more than punk wannabees. You are trying to be something you will never be. Legitimate.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Pook,

Please be advised that I responded to your comment above and your other comment in the other thread. You will have to visit the other thread to view the responses.

Visit the thread of the article “Did Johnny DiFronzo Murder The Man That Took His Wife’s Virginity.”

  • Fan of KTF Media

    Joe,

As a regular reader and fan of this site, I appreciated your response to Pooks. It demonstrates the stress-free, “loose and easy” philosophy of the Comments (according to your words on another thread.)

May I ask if these alleged episodes of misbehavior would’ve occurred prior to your rediscovery of Catholicism? That would explain a lot, as well. We all have our pasts. Whether Pook’s accusations are true or false, it doesn’t at all affect my love for this site and your articles.

    Have a good day.

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Fan,

I contend that Pooks description of the events is grossly distorted and unfounded.

I turned to Catholicism in 2003.

    Thanks,

    JF

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Fan,

Allow me to clarify, I was baptized Catholic at 2 month of age and raised Catholic. I made my communion in 2nd grade. However, during my teenaged years I became a lapsed Catholic. I did not make my confirmation until I was an adult. In 2003, I rediscovered Catholicism. Cardinal Francis George confirmed me, personally, in 2006.

  • Fan of KTF Media

    Dear Mr. Joseph Fosco,

I don’t know very many Catholics who have been baptized by a Cardinal. Congratulations to you, my brother in Christ, for your 2003 decision. The fact that you were baptized as an adult makes no difference at all.

God bless you, and may the Lord protect you from the forces of evil. Speaking of which, may God bless the Frank Battaglia’s and Rudy Fratto’s of the world.

In a way, they need our prayers more than anyone.

  • Mr. Jingledonkey

Aww. This is so gross. What a gross situation. Has he gotten a new job? That MOTHER!

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Mr. Jingle,

From what I last heard, pedophile Battaglia purportedly visits (to help) his daughter at Nana’s Hotdog Stand in Addison, Illinois (a family owned establishment).

  • franky g

did u notify the town of addison

  • Joseph Fosco

    Dear Franky G,

Yes, I notified the town of Addison, however, I have no idea what they intend to do, if anything at all.

  • hello

Take a look at this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Toucher&defid=1808847

Now, please do another public service announcement along the lines of what I’ve just linked to.

PS: Has Battaglia attempted to contact, or go after you?

    • http://ktfmediagroup.com Joseph Fosco

      Dear Hello,

Battaglia goes after underage women… no… He has not gone after me. Thank you.

  • Mr. Jingled…

    Hey Joe,

Is Battaglia aware of KTF and this article?

    • http://ktfmediagroup.com Joseph Fosco

      Dear Mr. Jingled…

I believe Battaglia is aware of the article.

  • The General Population

What is the status of the Frank Battaglia situation?

You do realize that this article got some major attention, don’t you?

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear The General,
I am currently focusing on his football coaching days and his exposure to numerous minors. I am upset at the Catholic educational institutions more than I am upset at the child molester.

  • Goodfella

First of all, Frank Battaglia was my football coach during my four years of High School. This incident happened in his last year. The GIRL associated in this case is a good friend of mine, but, there is more to this story… Yes she was 16, and yes it was very wrong! But the fact is that “Dawn” (not her real name of course) was very flirtracious to many of the coaches. And was just as responsible for what happened, AGAIN,, I agree that the adult here should of done the right thing and ignore the advances that were put on to him, but, that’s not what happened, Coach Battaglia has paid very dearly for his one mistake he made. He’s a great guy and a great coach and I would not hesitate for one second to leave any of my kids in his company. so think what you want,, but know the whole story before any of you judge him! And yes, Frank is the nephew of Sam “teets” Battaglia.

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear Good,
My father was closer to ‘Teets’ than I am located to my keyboard right now. And, I refuse to justify Frank’s abusive behavior, regardless of our family’s connection (if he really is the nephew of Teets). My father, Uncle Romie, Joe Shine and Teets were partners in the 50′s and 60′s, again, none of that means a thing when you are talking about a child molester.
I have reports that Frank Battaglia served as assistant coach well after the crime was committed. I am in the process of verifying these claims.

  • Herbal Yam Ploy

    HERE WE GO…

I got a feeling that Battaglia-supporters are going to fan this thread until the cows come home.

Joe, Goodfella has submitted to us a novel account of the events regarding the Battaglia matter. Do you think that this explains everything and fully exculpates Frank B., or do you think it provides ZERO new perspective on the situation? Are you going to remove this article and publish a retraction with an apology, or will you proceed with your new article as planned? Please provide some analysis.

Please also explain the origin of the late-Same Battaglia’s nickname, “Teets.” Understand that I am not mocking your family’s late-friend by wondering whether or not he had prominent breasts or pecs. Thank you.

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear Herbal,
I cannot accept an explanation as valid unless I interviewed the victim and reported what she would say on the matter. Battaglia’s friends are free to defend him.
I have no idea why Teets had the name Teets.

  • Goodfella

Frank Battaglia was no longer an assistant coach after his conviction or in any other official capacity with the school. What he did in fact do was act as an advisory to numerous football coachs and teams off field. In fact he is primarily responsible for the record breaking success of some local high school teams. He’s a football guru. For the record, as I stated, I did play for him but, I would not consider him a friend, although I highly respect him…. In regards to why Sam Battaglia was nicknamed TEETS, was in fact do to when he would hold “court” for guys in debt to him, he would often say, “I’ll knock your teets out”. Also Mr Fosco, Frank is in fact Sam’s nephew, it’s no secret and I would think since you knew the family it would not be an issue to confirm this, everyone knows this.. I would also like to say, that as a whole, the Battaglia clan are very well respected and distinguished members of the Chicago area, all are legitimate business owners, thers even a lawer, doctor, and NHL hockey player among them.. Below I will try to attach a link of a picture of Sam Battaglia during his U.S. Senate hearing, you can easily see that him and Frank Battaglia are not only family, they look more like twin brother..
    http://www.asminor.info/organizedcrimesyndicates/chicago.html

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear Goodfella,
I do not know the family. My father knew “Teets.” I merely met a couple of the family members over the years.

  • phil ramone

it seems to me that you failed to consider the possibility that frank’s charges stemmed from some kind of self defense situation or goofing around gone wrong.

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear Phil
And John Gacy said that he was merely running a cemetery without a proper license – that he did not commit a single murder.

  • stronzo

I cannot get over how much Frank J. resembles Teets. From what I understand, they are related.

I wonder what Teets would’ve thought of his conduct.

I guess I could see a gangster getting behind his behavior, such as it’s described in the article and this thread.

  • IP Address 208.86.77.70

    joe,
how many d.u.i’s do you have, and what exactly did you do to get out of them? as in, what phone conversations were made, and to whom? can you prove or disprove how you may answer this question?
what exactly did you accomplish with the franklin charitable foundation? can you furnish receipts of donations you received and made? can you provide tax returns for the foundation?
by the way, just some friendly advice… (YOUR COMMENT HAS BEEN MODIFIED – harassment and threats are prohibited on this site. Thank you, American News Post)

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear IP Address 208.86.77.70,
I have never been guilty of DUI in my entire life, not in Illinois, not anywhere. Furthermore, I have never taken part in unlawful phone calls regarding judicial matters of any kind.
I accomplished many wonderful things at the Franklin Charitable Foundation. I donated money to Loyola Hospital and was appointed to their Leadership Society, which was done prior to discovering that Loyola Hospital helped former Dr. Joseph Giacchino avoid prosecution (see here: http://americannewspost.com/?p=170 ). In addition, I established a fund in the name of a murder victim named Sahara Moorer (see here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3072351 – read final paragraph of link), as well as many other good projects. In fact, Garrett Reidy testified under oath about the good work done thru the Franklin Charitable Foundation, which was prior to my discovery that Reidy was a disgraced attorney.
As far as records, I saved all charitable records for 5-years as required by law before eliminating the expense in storing the outdated records. With the exception of a few hundred dollars from a couple of close friends, please be advised that every penny spent thru the Franklin Charitable Foundation was my personal money.
How does one raise a valid public concern if one decides AGAINST using his or her personal charitable donations as an advantage, thus does NOT create a personal income tax savings?

      Dear IP Address 66.251.244.218,
I thought it was understood that I was never an actual labor arbitrator; I have never stated that I was. In fact, I explain it in detail here: http://americannewspost.com/?p=66
Yes, my finances are somewhat compromised right now. You are asking me why my finances are compromised. Ask John and Peter DiFronzo, Rudy Fratto, Jack P. Cerone, Esq., and Joseph L. Giacchino, Jr.
As to the voice mails that I left Jack P. Cerone, Esq., regarding the threats on my life that he played a part in, you may read the court transcripts, which detail the voicemails, here: http://americannewspost.com/?p=278
In addition, you may access this article, http://americannewspost.com/?p=819, which provides a very clear understanding of the details pertaining to the voicemails that you have mentioned. Thank you.
Please Cease And Desist With Your Lunacy!
      Sincerely,
      Joseph Fosco

Joe, today someone suggested to me, via email, that Frank might have been framed in this matter by enemies of Sam “Teets” Battaglia.

As we know “Teets” passed away long ago; however, according to this theory, his old bitter enemies who are still alive may have thought that attacking one of his descendants–Frank J–was the next best option for grinding their old axes. I found this theory to be absurd, though it’s kept my interest all day.

There was obviously enough evidence involved to convince the court of his guilt and for Mr. Venuti to FIRE his ASS. But do you know if the evidence was all circumstantial? I’m realizing now that your readers know almost nothing about the actual circumstances. Hopefully, you will enlighten us soon.

(I’m not trying to make light of this situation, but parts of this thread make me laugh.)

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear F@…,
I find the theory that Frank was framed as absurd as you do. In fact, I personally interviewed associates of Frank, who have shared information consistent with the charges. In addition, I know of one situation that has the potential to turn into a sexual harassment lawsuit, naming Frank as a defendant (involving a very young woman).
Would you appreciate it if I published some facts about the criminal case? As I may have touched on before, if Frank were truly framed, I would expect (because of the nature of the conviction) that he would have filed an appeal or a pardon at least one time. What innocent person would simply decide to live life with their photo on a sex offender’s website without trying to clear their name? I am not aware of an appeal or a pardon attempt. Do you know of any attempts? If so, I would be glad to consider publishing some highlights of such initiatives.

    Dear Joe,

What might be some of the legal consequences of adopting Frank J. Battaglia’s photo as my avatar? I realize you’re not an attorney, but I’d appreciate anything you might have to say regarding the matter.

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear F@…,
In my opinion, a photo that is published on a website owned by the taxpayers, such as the Illinois Sex Offenders Website, would be free game for the taxpayers to download and use a photo. However, as you pointed out, I am not an attorney; therefore, I would suggest that you consult one on the matter. In addition, I doubt that Frank would take on the expense of filing a lawsuit to challenge your use of his sex offender photo. And such a lawsuit would likely bring media attention to his entire case, which I would bet that he would not like. Lastly, I do not believe that the court or jury would have sympathy for someone like Frank if his sex offender photo were published as your avatar on this thread.

    Joe,

For the time being, feel free to hold off on answering that legal question about using Battaglia’s photo as an avatar. As you can see, I’ve explored another option.

    We’ll see how it goes.

    Thank you.

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear F@…,
Interesting. We’ll see how it goes.

  • Merlin Tenderpony

Is that a little picture of Richard Padal from the public service announcement that Mr. Horsey is using for his comment image? I was just thinking that maybe things would have turned out a little better for Mr. Padal if his mother had put a ‘padal’ (paddle) to his ass when he misbehaved as a child! Mr. Fosco, do you disagree?

    • Joseph Fosco

      Dear Merlin,
Mr. Padal could have benefitted from some form of discipline.

Pooks – you don’t make any sense. What part ain’t you gettin’ pal? Obviously you are not a parent.  any parent would agree with Joe.
How serious were the charges? Was he 18 and went out with a 17 year old? If that’s the case – forget it.
If he has been jailed – no he won’t change his stripes – close up the shops - now!
