Dr. Rose T. Codini, M.D., And Dr. Diane V. Dado, M.D., Both Love Mr. Joseph L. Giacchino, Jr And Will Do Nearly Anything For Him

I personally know Dr. Rose T. Codini, M.D., and Dr. Diane V. Dado, M.D. Both doctors are wonderful people as well as excellent physicians. Dr. Codini owns and operates a medical center in Laguna Hills, California, where she specializes as a gastroenterologist. Dr. Dado is a newly retired plastic surgeon that worked for Loyola Hospital in the Chicagoland area for many years.

I am afraid that Mr. Joseph Giacchino, Jr., has what I would call the ‘Charles Manson’ effect on these women. Dr. Codini is Giacchino’s older sister and Dr. Dado is his first wife – they have a son in common.

In the summer of 2003, Mr. Giacchino persuaded Dr. Codini to buy his inheritance rights of their then alive and well father; Joseph Giacchino, Sr. Giacchino discounted the figure slightly to make it somewhat lucrative for his sister to accommodate him. Apparently, Giacchino needed the money to spruce up his home in California. A few days later Dr. Codini’s check for $700,000.00 arrived in the mail. Giacchino was very happy (though I wonder if the IRS ever had the opportunity to feel as happy about the large transaction?).

According to Giacchino, his sister Rose is a wealthy physician that was married to a prominent cardio surgeon. Rose’s husband passed away, leaving behind a small fortune coupled with a multimillion-dollar life insurance policy. Giacchino bragged that if he should ever develop the urgent need for a cash loan, he was confident that he could get one-million dollars out of his sister (in addition to the inheritance buyout). Considering the recent turn of events in the life of Mr. Giacchino, it seems likely the time has come to ask for that considerable loan.

  1. The article above does not surprise me. Giacchino is an expert at manipulating people that have positive feelings about him.

  2. Tort Warning on

Hi, I’m not sure if you are fully versed in the laws of defamation and libel. However, I would recommend that you read up on them fairly quickly.

  3. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Tort,

If you are referring to the title, I recognize that a typo was made. The word ‘nearly’ will be added as soon as my editing department can get to it (see example below).

Dr. Rose T. Codini, M.D., And Dr. Diane V. Dado, M.D., Both Love Mr. Joseph L. Giacchino, Jr And Will Do Nearly Anything For Him

If you are referring to somehing else in the article, the court of law will have to intervene – if someone has an issue with it. Thank you.

  4. concerned patient on

Im sure that all the intelligant people who may come across these articles, already know not to believe everything that they read. Again, I was a patient of Dr. Giacchino’s and I still stand by my Dr. and will say that I never had any problems as a patient of his.

  5. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Concerned,

On the other hand, I believe the people that took Giacchino’s medical license are intelligent.

  6. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Nicole,

If Giacchino were a great doctor that helped people, the State of Illinois would not have stopped him from practicing medicine.

  7. they more than likely suspended it cuz sumone was abusing and dr cut them off now they r makin rediculous acusations

  8. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Nicole,

Instead of speculating, you have the option of contacting the State of Illinois Official that closed down the clinics. His name is Dan Murphy. He can be reached at (847) 294-4952. Thank you.

  9. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Nicole,

If G’s office schedules appointments on Wednesday, it will mean that his office turned in to a physician referral center, because he will not be seeing patients.

G has a 9 or 9:30 AM hearing tomorrow morning at the Illinois building, which will likely involve a continuance to the next day. Because he has a 3 PM hearing on the 20th floor of the Daley Center at 3 PM, where he will be relying on former Judge Joseph Casciato to persuade another Cook County Judge to order his license back while the State of Illinois sorts out the case against him.

Unless Casciato bribes the judge, I do not see Giacchino winning anything tomorrow.

  10. Well I called today and they told me to call and schedule an appt on Thursday so u believe what u will thats your god given right I believe my doctor that has helped myself and many others will be practicing quite soon. Please do not be mad because you didnt get your way. You make these horrible accusations and If i were you I would hope the good dr doesnt find out about these lovely little posts of yours u could have a nice law suite on your hands just something to think about. Either way I have my opinion and you have yours. I believe he is a great dr and has never treated me unfairly and I actually have medical problems Im not a junkie and i feel it is unfair for anyone to sit here and say that all his patients are junkies because there is a VERY large amount that are not. The dr just goes by what his patients tell him you cant xray pain its impossible and also that is why I have personally seen him remove ppl from his office for abusing drugs and other prescriptions. So before pointing fingers please realize u had a bad situation according to you with the dr but it seems that MANY other ppl have not. I believe in freedom of speech but I do not believe in making ppl believe what you believe for whatever vendetta u have with him. Its between you two and all your doing is hurting innocent ppl in the process of this charade.

  11. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Nicole,

Show me where I supposedly stated, “All his patients are junkies.” I do not believe that I ever called one of his patients a junkie.

I am compelled to share with you some information on the process in which the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations suspends doctors. First, the investigators conduct a review of the circumstances and collect evidence, including eyewitness accounts, which are corroborated. This process in Giacchino’s case took over 2-years. Next, the investigators findings are presented before a committee of medical doctors that make the decision whether the doctor in question is fit to practice medicine. In Giacchino’s case, the committee decided that he is not fit. In addition, Giacchino is a repeat offender. He committed the same infractions 20-years ago.

Tomorrow at 3:00 PM Giacchino will be on the 20th floor of the Daley Center attempting to convince a Circuit Court Judge to decide that a committee of doctors have reached the wrong conclusion in suspending his medical license. Despite the fact that a former judge in that building is representing Giacchino (Joe Casciato), I wish Giacchino a great deal of luck – all the luck in the world would not help him tomorrow. Judges who are lawyers do not have the medical background to rely on in order to take issue with the decision of the Department of Professional Regulations committee of doctor’s.

If you are suggesting that a committee of doctors simply read the articles on KTF Media Group in forming their decision that Giacchino’s license should be suspended, I must be one of the most persuasive people on the planet. I think not.

If the judge sides with Giacchino tomorrow – in my opinion – it would mean that his lawyer (former judge and DiFronzo cronies) somehow fixed the case thru a former colleague. Please be clear in knowing that I do not believe that a sitting judge would be foolish enough to take part in such a fix. Therefore, I expect that Giacchino will remain suspended – as he should. Do not my word for it that Giacchino should be suspended – ask the committee of doctors that made the decision.

If a miracle occurred for Giacchino and his license was restored, it would be for a very limited period, until the Department of Professional Regulations completes their entire process. The committee of doctors believes it is a public safety issue to stop Giacchino from practicing medicine in the meantime.

I would be willing to bet that my articles on Giacchino were not considered one bit by the committee of doctors for the simple reason that it looks extremely obvious that I have an agenda when it comes to Giacchino. Although I admit my position seems contrived, I contend that I have always reported truthfully in every single statement that I have ever made against Giacchino.

    Dear Readers,

I am sorry the good have to suffer consequence with the bad.

I have decided to hold all incoming comments for moderation. For the first time in KTF’s 2-year history, some viewers have started to misbehave on the threads to alarming rates. I am not surprised that these offenders are an extension of Joseph Giacchino, Jr. – for obvious reason it makes sense (disturbed ones, please call 800-662-HELP).

Valued readers, please continue to submit comments thru KTF’s threads, and know they will be posted very soon.

I made the decision to moderate the comments out of respect for my valued readers. I was not happy that vulgarity and identity theft on the threads was creating an uneasy experience for you. As Publisher of KTF Media Group, I have a duty to protect my readers from harassment related matters – I have addressed the matter.

I have removed the most vulgar content. However, I have left a great deal of the tolerable comments on the threads, as I am a major supporter of freedom of speech.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, I thank you for your continued support. I look forward to delivering news to you for years to come.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph Fosco

  13. I am sorry about a comment I made that was out of anger. For those of us who have VERIFIABLE chronic pain, this left us in a bad position. You cannot find another physician overnight. I did not get pain med from this Dr. until he got my MRI. I cannot speak for anyone else. It is true that most doctors do not want to prescribe pain meds because of stupid people like Elvis and Michael Jackson who can afford to buy a Dr fulltime and also buy a pharmacy.

  14. Ok I understand everything your saying but what about the patients that see him where do they go now? How do you see another doctor? Where do they go to find out this information, patients still have ilnesses they are not going away..

  15. A patient with patience on

I’m a patient of Dr. Giacchino’s and have been for years. I’ve recently read up on Dr. G and weighed both sides. The man has always treated me with the utmost professionalism and general concern for my well-being. I do, however, agree that his Melrose Park Clinic could use a makeover and his staff certainly doesn’t kill me with kindness – but nothing has caused me to challenge the man’s integrity.

It seems there’s one man (apparently with a lot of time on his hands) behind slandering Dr. Giacchino’s name. Why is this? Is this man planning on going on a crusade and cleaning up the entire world of Western medicine? If this man is fighting for the good of patients everywhere, who else is in your cross hairs? Surely he can’t be the only one, I’m sure there are hundreds. Do you spend as much time writing about each and every one of them as you do about Dr. Giacchino?

I’m an educated, intelligent man and I have an open mind, I make my own judgements regardless of what’s written. My unbiased conclusion is that this man is out to get Dr. Giacchino and he’s looking to recruit.

I’m really sorry you were wronged. …any man who lives with the faith of GOD knows that forgivness is pinnacle and GOD is the only judge.

    Sleep well.

My Gosh! This is too much for me. Are there any other doctors that you can try to shut down too? Seems like patients that didnt get their way (i.e. addicts)and others who made a grand plan to try to take this doctors license away need to start looking for another Doctor to attack. Judgement is for God, not anyone else. Dr. Giacchino has been nothing but professional and actually helped me get back to work after a car accident (injections) and I can now support myself and my son without tax payers paying my bills with Public Aid. But thanks to all of you that did this to Dr Giacchino, I will now have to have the tax payers pay my bills. Good work jerks! P.S. I will back up Dr. Giacchino 1000%!!!!!!!

  17. james kunatz on

I don’t understand any of this. I did not see dr giacchino do anything that cought me by surprise befor i was able to recieve any medical treatment from dr giacchino i had to bring them a full set of up to date records and had a physical by the doctor along with a drugtest And nor a i a junkie i have chronic pain many surgurys and documentation to proove it that was also required befor service could continue. And this thig about Dr G being a pill pusher well thats just bunk. He offerd me a new medication that in non addictive and the only problem is that most of us just cant afford it. So i see doctor Giacchino as have my best intrest at handThis is a good doctor and i believe someone is on a witchhunt and trying to bring a good man down for whatever reason i don’t know. And like the lady spoke of you can’t see pain unless you what i have Herniated disc that had a discectomy prefromed which only mad it much worse and very painfull, Thats why they have pain doctors so people as myself have a place that we can get some relief and a little quaility back in our lives I stand by my Dr he’s a good man and deserves a hell of alot better then this he is helping the sick if someone has slipped by him that could happen to anyone. I know the type you talking about they are drug addictics but somehow they slipp through the cracks and thats not the drs fault thats the systems fault as well how about the pharmacutical companys and their lobbiest wonder where they fit into the mix of things as well as the things to come. There has to be 100 medications that have been aproved by the fda that are either killing people or they are maiming them is ways that are unimanagible. Dont use My dr for a fall guy for someone elses bad judgment it looks almost like someones hiding behind our doctor and he’s being used as a scapegoat or patcey sure looks like it it keep the feds looking squeeky clean do ya think!

  18. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Ray,

I understand. However, I am keeping the moderation filter on because of several other inappropriate comments from a number of other viewers.

Ray, take issue with Giacchino for violating regulations, which is why he is unable to practice medicine. No one let you down but Giacchino.

  19. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Concerned,

If you live in the Melrose Park, Illinois, area, I would suggest that you call Loyola Hospital’s physician referral center at (708) 216-9000.

However, if you are seeking a quack like Giacchino, I have no advice for you.

Thank you for your interest in KTF Media Group.

  20. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear patient with patience,

I appreciate your opinion. Thank you for sharing it.

However, please be advised that the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations has nearly 20-witnesses that have started testifying against Giacchino today. It will likely take them a week or two to finish. You might be relived to know that I am not one of those witnesses. Therefore, you really have no basis to point blame at me for Giacchino’s demise. Giacchino self-destructed. He made unlawful decisions and hurt many people. Now he is no longer a doctor.

I agree with you in part, God is the supreme judge; however, the judges in our courts and other governmental offices matter too. Too bad for Giacchino, he is dealing with judges down here on Earth. In fact, I do not believe he will ever see God, but who am I to judge?

  21. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Jessica,

The only jerk that compromised your medical program is Giacchino. If he had followed regulations, you would still have him as a doctor today. Please wake up and face reality. Thank you.

  22. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear James,

Face reality, your doctor is no longer a doctor. Go to the hearings at the Illinois building, which will be taking place for the next several days on the ninth floor – have a reality check.

In the meantime, call (800) 662-HELP.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your interest.

  23. oooo, please people. ANYONE who lives in the Melrose pk, franklin pk, river grove or northlake area (i know people as far as lombard), know that he is the local pusher. you can get like 300 “v’s” for a hangnail. it’s common knowledge. AND for cash….you can get an unlimited supply. im assuming the cash paid is so it cant be traced.

  24. Guy a concerned patient on

I believe that all of this is the repercussion of angry patients that the dr hass cut off because of abuse. Ive personally seen Dr giacchino cut people off many of times for abusing, and im sure they are the people that are testifying against him! Ive personally been a patient of Dr giacchinos for about 3 years. I was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident and after 2 different surgery’s started seeing him because of the chronic pain i still have to this day. Between the physical therapy i get every other week at his office and his help i am able to still get up and go to work everyday and am able to support myself financially without assistance from the government or family. And now that he’s been temporarily shut down its been harder for me to do the everyday things that need to be done. My job is a lot of physical labor and its not easy. Dr giacchino runs a pain management clinic and of course he’s gonna run across people that are gonna try and abuse the help he trys to give, but like i said theres always gonna be people out there that are gonna try and do that. Its unavoidable. But now what is someone like myself and many others supposed to do that dont currently have medical insurance because of the huge dollar amount and preexisting injury clauses. SO i stand behind Dr g 100% and hope this nonsense ends soon because if not then theres gonna be a ton of peoples lives that are going to be miserable! What does a person do when this happens, u cant just shut people off overnight like that and expect them to be fine. What are we supposed to do now????

    • DAWN PFEIFER on

i AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY. DR. GIACHINNO WAS ALWAYS A VERY OUTSTANDING DOCTOR FOR MY FAMILY OF 4 AND MY FATHER. IT IS TERRIBLE HOW THEY SHUT THE mELROSE pARK cLINIC. HAVING PATIENTS RUNNING LIKE CRAZY TO FIND THEMSELVES A NEW DOCTOR”
i TRULY HOPE DR. GIACHINNO GETS HIS LICENSE BACK SOON.

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS A PILL PUSER MY FRIEND IS DEAD FROM OVER DOSE ON PAIN PILLS, SOME PEOPLE REALY NEED PAIN MEDS, BUT NOT TO GET HIGH AN HE KNEW IT,

  25. Joseph Fosco on

    Dear Guy,

Please give the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations and the Illinois Medical Board a little more credit. No, Giacchino’s suspension has nothing to do with disgruntled patients or KTF Media Group. In fact, his suspension has everything to do with the numerous infractions committed by Giacchino.

Please contact (800) 662-HELP! Thank you.

  26. Team Dr. G on

You say he has commited “many” infractions. What are these infractions? You seem to know so much about him but what exactly did he do wrong?

I would appreciate a list of his wrong doings.

    • Dear Team Dr. G,

The things Dr. G did wrong relating to me are mentioned throughout several articles on KTF Media Group. As far as the infractions he is being held accountable for by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations, I have touched on them in an article that will be published sometime today. In addition, I will be getting the transcripts of the hearings that are currently taking place. Once I get them, I will be publishing them here. Thank you.

  27. dr g is the local “movie star” dr. like anna nicole smith, micheal jackson, cory haim, elvis…etc. if you you have a vicodin problem, went to see him and didnt get 300-500 vicodins (and im NOT exagerating(sp., i know !), you werent asking him the right way, or showing him the cash. trust me on this. i have people i know who have told me how they get thier fixes thru him, and this was LONG before all this scandal erupted. way way way BEFORE. i dont take this stuff myself, barely even asprins. i have gone to him a few times, and no, never had a prob. with him. so i was surprised when people i know would tell me how they get thier “pain meds”.
so sorry tell let you all know, these stories are true. talk to any local people you know who have vicodin problem, they’ll tell ya ! if you dont know….then you probably dont have a perscription drug problem, thats why your not understanding what is going on….or you do have a problem, and dont want to admit it or realize it…..or (again) you do have a “normal” perscription. which is fine, as some people do take them with caution and DONT abuse. hes in trouble cuz of the “abuse” patients. its not EVERYONE.

  28. Unhappy Camper on

    Everyone:
All this discussion mostly a load of crap. Almost everyone that went to that clinic went there seeking narcotic (addictive) pain medicine. I went there many times and I would say that about 5% of the people there had a legitimate reason to be treated with strong narcotics such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc. Go to a regular Dr. sometime and see what they will prescribe for you. Real Drs. understand that giving someone 200-300 norcos a month is dangerous and will lead to addiction. By now many people are suffering from withdrawl symptoms from the opiates myself included. It is awful but we all asked for this. I bet many of you have called the clinic and they have told you to call back on Thursday or call back next week, but do not offer any immediate help for you or give you a refferal to another Dr. Why? Because they don’t care. My advice to most of his patients is this: suffer though it and stay off the pills for good. Further abuse of narcotics will end up destroying your liver and causing you more health problems. For those people with real pain problems there is help out there for you see a real Dr.

  29. Reginald Somersault III on

    Dear Joe,

I want to share my opinion with you. I feel that KTF Media took a serious misstep with its involvement in the Navarro/Mungo matter. Since you published that article–and participated in its ensuing Monty Pythonesque comment thread–I believe that your website has taken a significant hit in the credibility department. And, now that you’ve instituted a moderation of comments, it has completely lost its appeal.

Do you ever plan on going back to writing about the Chicago Outfit and doing legitimate Public Service Announcements? Are you going to consider lifting the current restrictions regarding reader comments?

    Respectfully,

    Reginald Somersault III

    • Dear Reginald Somersault III,

I appreciate the constructive criticism. Thank you. Yes, I plan on writing about the Chicago Outfit in the future. Yes, I plan to continue publishing legitimate public service announcements.

I would like to point out that your opinion about the credibility of my site is exactly that – your opinion. Again, thank you.

I further understand that it is of your opinion that my site has lost its appeal because of the new comment moderation program. Perhaps others agree with you.

However, I have no plans on eliminating the moderation program. I like it very much. I have peace of mind that my threads will not be loaded down with vulgarity. I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt for two years. Unfortunately, several individuals had recently abused the freedom that I extended. I promise my valued readers that I will never allow vulgarity to be present here ever again. There is no other way for me to make such guarantee than by instituting a moderation program.

For those of you that have lost interest in KTF Media Group because of this recent change, you will be missed. Please know that you are always welcome to stop by and say hi.

I am proud to say that KTF Media Groups numbers continue to climb as they have been doing from the beginning. Actually, yesterday was an all-time record breaker. The day before that was darn close.

I would say that judging by the number of comments that comes in to the threads is not an accurate way to estimate our number of viewers.

On behalf of KTF Media Group, thank you for your support.

  30. the ghost of... on

    Joe,

Are you going to ever elaborate on this:

“On March 10, 2010, a development occurred relating to my pending privacy-issue action against Giacchino. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to divulge details on said development at this time. However, I can promise you that when I do release the details it will be alarming, as they relate to the Chicago Outfit” –from another article?

  31. Hey, Unhappy Camper-

It sounds like you’re just unhappy because they don’t have running water, toilets, or indoor plumbing in the wilderness. If you’re not comfortable dropping one in the bushes and using a leaf to wipe, DON’T GO CAMPING!

  32. RSIII Monty Pythonesque – nice pull on that reference.

However personally I am glad KTF has chosen to moderate comments – what annoyed me was the atrocious nicknames or handles some chose to use.

They were raunchy and innapropiate and as a reader I thought lowered if only by impression/association the credibility of the writers of KTF.

    Thank you Joe.

  33. Sick Camper on

    sinsasdfi:

I agree with what you have said and I am not offended. The past few days I have been going through episodes of freezing and then sweating as I have been coming off the pain killers. Also can’t come up with motivation of any kind to do anything. I have arthritis in my neck and a bad disc in my back that causes me discomfort constantly. The medicine I was getting from Dr. G. did work and help me function but I really had no idea what I was getting myself into as far being physically dependent on them. You are absolutely right the best option would be to not go camping in the first place.

  34. Okay, this goes to all the Mr. G backers. You are wrong!!!
Dawn, right with you girl. Anyone in Elmwood Park, River Grove, Melrose Park and surrounding towns do know the REAL truths. Don’t get us small villagers started. If that man ever got his license back, God be with him. It would be so easy to go door to door and get the towns people to get involved with fighting this issue. We do have mayors. I knew mine personally from growing up with their kids. They don’t care for shaddy businesses in their towns. They will get involved whenever necessary to keep their towns clean. They don’t like finding kids with prescriptions drugs in their possession gotten from adults who got these pills from doctors like him. I’m sure there are alot more people who would be on the prosecutions side if they were asked to do so. Way too many of the true villagers know the truth of what has been going on and were just waiting for the state to handle this problem. Small towns do talk and spread the word quite fast. If Mr. G was so concerned over his license, he should not have played on both side of the law. Justice WILL prevail. Unfortunately for Mr. G, he burned himself.

  35. Joe, as far as Nicole’s comment, I wonder if she ever got that appointment at the clinic. If she did see Mr. G., who’s script did he use and what doctor was ignorant enough to let him sign his name on it? Been there and saw that happen already personally myself with my family.
Please continue any info on this subject as you receive it. Like she had said, freedom of speech, so speak to us Joe, speak on and never stop. It’s men like you who have the courage to follow through with the facts at hand. The world needs more men like you to say it as it really is. Vendetta?? Not!! Truth!!
I personally hope Mr. G does read your posts. If a lawsuit ever did occur against you, like Nicole stated, I would have no problem backing you up on your statements. I’m sure I could find others to do the same too. You are just reporting the facts as they have come out. People need to stop trying to belittle the messenger. The truth does hurt and apparently, many are going to suffer by it.
