Typically convicted felons and debtors have little to no credibility or/and credit power. However, people with such dubious backgrounds overcome these hurdles all the time.
Donald Trump has filed corporate bankruptcy multiple times. He had, at one time, over 900 million dollars in personal debt. Yet today droves of people pay their hard-earned money to attend business seminars hosted by him. Why? Because America allowed Trump the opportunity to reestablish his good business record and fiscal credibility.
Dare I ask whether some might suspect that Trump’s sister, U.S. District Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, could have used her power to help her brother avoid a possible federal criminal indictment relating to the Trump Taj Mahal/junk bond disaster in the 1990s (personally, I am not suggesting that either Trump committed a crime)? During the time Donald Trump was dealing with those financial debacles his sister held a seat on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Before that she spent many years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark, New Jersey.

I have been a avid reader of “KTF” since it’s inception. I have never posted a comment on this site, on any of the blogs, until now.
I am so angry right now that I don’t even know how to put my thoughts and feelings into words.
I’m going to try and do the best I can without confusing any readers. I’m going to start from Betty’s last article & Joseph’s comment (Her first one on this thread) and go from there.
“I love it Betty” Are you kidding me? Her post is about asking the public for a second chance.
I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life (Including Betty & Joseph). But for the two of you to do it on this site in the manner you are doing it is so far beyond hypocritical, it sickens me.
You can say Dr. G got a chance (when he was reinstated,years ago)and blew it. I agree. He seems like a real scum bag.
On the flip side you (Joseph) wrote about a guy that’s in the restaurant business, that did time, and because of that,a casino shouldn’t be near his restaurant etc. (I would consider that he is using his second chance as being a restaurateur.)
Joseph is giving the Navarro guy a second chance….what makes him so different?
Michael Mags is also in his literary good graces.
The dirt bag pedophile from Venuti’s was given a second chance, and to my knowledge, has not done anything to screw up his “second chance”.
What are the parameters of the discretion you two plan on continuing to use on this site?
Are they going to continue to be ones that benefit the two of you?
The pair of you have very tarnished pasts (Whether you were convicted of crimes or not.)

What is wrong with a second chance after one has paid their debt to society by serving a long prison sentence (provided the crime does not pertain to pedophilia in relation to the exposure to children)?
Giacchino manipulated his way to a second chance thru his inappropriate connections.
In the piece that I wrote about Des Plaines (Illinois), relating to its casino license and its ties to organized crime had nothing to do with the owner of the restaurant personally. I sincerely hope the owner makes a billion dollars. However, the proclaimed owner Carl Dote appears to remain a current affiliate of organized crime, which supports my concern about the City of Des Plaines (Illinois) doing business with him in the first place. The Illinois Gaming Commission would not tolerate it if the Late Don Stephens did business with Dote or others like him.

As far as I know, Jerry Navarro has not been convicted of a crime in decades and he does not appear to be a current Chicago Outfit associate – why not give Jerry a second chance?
Michael Magnafichi saved my life, in my opinion. I believe he helped me avoid the Outfit hit on my life. Having said that, what bad things should I say about the man thru KTF Media Group?
My issue with the convicted pedophile known as Frank Battaglia – he is presently listed on the Illinois Sex Offender’s Website as a child sex offender – while he was working in a business that hosted minors and served alcohol. Because of KTF Media Group, a child sex offender lost his position to be near children and alcohol. Are you upset about that?
Plenty of articles on KTF Media Group unrelated to me personally exist – read them. Betty has vowed to write about matters unrelated to her as well.

Did you follow her ‘situation’ at all? Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. Overall, she did many good things for the town. Even though I was just a poor, young, devastatingly handsome, little Italian kid; I still remember when all that stuff with her was going down.

I wish to address Robert. I will quickly throw out some key points. Take it or leave it. It is not my desire to engage in deep conversation.
I did not ask for tolerance from those unfamiliar with my case. All I want is a chance to live my life spreading awareness of the risks involved in relying on federal court to find justice.
I am still fighting to prove my innocence – I have a 13-year-old daughter.
In my case, some ask, ‘how did the treasurer, the only person with authority to wire transfer monies to the corrupt company that overbilled the town is found not guilty’? He admitted in the local paper that I told him to stop payments. However, he continued to send additional monies to his friends, ignoring my orders and the orders of the other elected officials. The Feds admitted that I did not benefit from the fraud. The appellate court said I ‘must have benefitted physiologically’.
I was informed that an Outfit hit was ordered on my life during the trial. My co-defendants were not my friends – they were friends of my late husband. They filed a slate of candidates to run against me. The plot started the night of my husbands wake in front of his casket – the list of barbarians continues to grow.

Grand jury testimony………..meeting held by co defendants on how to get rid of me.
Grand jury testimony………..one witness fired ……………..yes………..admitted that he was taking payoffs from the corrupt insurance company.
NONE of above allowed at trial.
Closing arguments by prosecutors: ‘We know that NO ONE testified that Betty was involved, but she had to know, and if she did not, she ought to have known’.
In 2003, Alan Dershowitz a professor of law from Harvard represented me on direct appeal and before the Supreme Court. I have appeared before the appellate court twice and the Supreme Court twice. My attorney presented affidavits and relevant rulings to show my innocence. The SAME issue being heard now regarding the Honest Services law was presented to the Supremes in 2005, but was not heard. I hope for people like Conrad Black that the high judges rule the right way.
Those of you with a fixed opinion of my case please keep it to yourself, unless you have read all the transcripts of my trial. The media was not in the courtroom everyday nor were you. You remind me of the judges that decide their cases on the golf course. Let us stick to the facts.

In your estimation, how accurate is that chart? Who is Burnstein and how did he get all his info. (names, pictures, etc.) and when did the chart come out?
Moreover, from the looks of his chart, it appears that Michael Mags is a current boss? I remember reading in one of your previous articles that he is no longer active. This leads me to conclude that one of the two sources (you or Mr. Burnstein) is providing inaccurate information. Please advise.
