I am in the process of collecting intelligence on matters regarding Elmwood Park, Illinois, Police Sergeant John Wasilenko and some other police personnel within the infamous Elmwood Park Police Department.
Does anyone know if Elmwood Park Police Sergeant John Wasilenko returned the questionable $20,000.00 “gift” after it was determined that his generous benefactor was suffering from dementia? Additionally, if the sergeant did not return the suspicious monetary gift, does anyone know if he reported said monetary gift to the IRS as of yet? I have recently received some disturbing information on Wasilenko and some other officers in Elmwood Park, who were allegedly involved in the matter pertaining to the sizable monetary gift in question. I have also been apprised of some allegations (sexual in nature) pertaining to the type of relationship Wasilenko had with the elderly male victim. This victim purportedly entertained Wasilenko at his home on various occasions. These alleged “house calls” or “out-calls” are purported to have included a few overnight visits by Wasilenko.
In the near future I intend to reveal more kept secrets of Elmwood Park Village President Skip Saviano, Police Chief Frank Fagiano and their beloved Elmwood Park Police Department, particularly concerning a secret they have kept from Elmwood Park’s residents until this month. We’ll see if Chicago Outfit Boss Johnny DiFronzo, who reputedly oversees an Elmwood Park based Outfit crew, will continue to advise his family to make generous financial contributions to Skip Saviano when my work is done in the days ahead.

It is obvious that the powers-that-be in EP inform the public of vital information on a need-to-know basis. I see it is business as usual in the mobbed up EP community. I will pray for the good residents who are forced to live under these unfortunate circumstances. I will also pray that the registered voters find the strength to finally do something about the powers-that-be in the next election.
Hey should be horse whipped!!!! God has sure brought the wrap upon this guy pretty hard, and I’m sure god isn’t done with him…. Police are suppose to up hold a certain standard in the community … If we can’t trust the police to be there for us and the people of the community, why do we even bother to have them ??? To me, right now most of them are useless and they only think about themselves …. Shane on this man and all he stands for …. I would ask , how do you sleep with yourself? Attention Chicagoland television viewers:
A must-see news special by CBS’s Dave Savini for January 2, 2014 at 10:00 PM! Get a glimpse of the real Elmwood Park Police Department, which was kept discrete a long time for multiple reasons, which include a dishonest political strategy to keep things “quiet” during Elmwood Park’s presidential election last April. Surely the constituents of Elmwood Par…k would have been reluctant to vote for cronies of the incumbent, who obviously enforced the suppression of vital information concerning the police department (said suppression was affirmed until recently by the new administration). Therefore, I have no doubt that Elmwood Park would probably have a different village president today if the EPPD exercised their duty to disclose vital information at a more appropriate time. Apparently, the current administration would agree with me.
What else has been swept under the rug?
PS: I mean no disrespect to retired EPPD Police Official Pat Spizzinoco, who was among the few good guys on the department.
Here’s an example of what’s under that rug.
Elmwood Park Police Chief Frank Fagiano said “prior to this allegation, the department had not been aware of any exploitative activity Wasilenko may have been involved in.” Yet!!!…” In the past during Elmwood Park Village Board Meetings during public comment, Wasilenko’s abuse of power was brought into question regarding alleged seduction of women who were victims of domestic violence that he allegedly came in contact with while on the job.”

Caliendo was the last good cop EP had. When he didn’t back Silvestri’s election, he was basically forced to retire. As far as politics go, there are bigger players involved in EP. They don’t call it Rosemont East for nothing.
My friend Pat Spiz would have a different view on Jimmy. Pat is my friend. However, I like Jimmy too. Roughly 20-years ago I had an issue with an officer in EP, whose dad was a former chief. One day I bumped into the officer while he was off duty. After our confrontation, he turned white for unknown reasons, ran to his personal car and drove away at a high rate of speed. The next day Jimmy sent word for me to come to his home (he used to live off Diversey in an apartment building that he owned). Upon greeting Jimmy, he told me “you cant go after a police officer, now cut it out.” I thanked him for his advice (though I really wasn’t ‘going after’ anyone). I respected Jimmy for addressing what he thought was an issue in the manner in which he addressed me.

If the money was immediately spent nothing is frozen. Besides, Sgt should have agreed to return it immediately.

I initially posed the same question. Was the money returned? I honestly cannot say for sure if the money was ever retuned. I’ll add that a bank robber doesn’t undo his or her (got to be fair to the women) crime if he (or she) brings the money back a day after the robbery. In addition, I believe that logic would suggest that if the Cook County Public Guardian is suing JW for the money in question, it might be safe to conclude that the answer to your question is no. Lastly, I think if JW would have returned the money promptly there would not be any serious issues today (just my opinion).
I do not think they can sue civily for that if their is an investigation pending or charges have been brought forth, I think you can only do that if they were found not guilty, guilty or never charged, but you do have to wait until after conviction. I am just curious is all.

No need to respectfully disagree, I was not sure at all. I have worked with the Public Guardian before on getting guardianship for incapacitated individuals, so that is why I asked, I thought you couldn’t because of the whole OJ thing. Thank you for clarifying.
Sources are suggesting that we try to determine if Chief Fagiano received a cut of the 20k under the table. Seems logical to me.

CBS 2 Chicago reporter charged with DUI, battery
CBS 2 Chicago investigative reporter Dave Savini was arrested Saturday in Naperville and now faces misdemeanor charges including battery, driving under the influence of alcohol, and endangering the life of a child after he left the scene of a minor traffic accident, officials said.
Savini, who lives in Naperville, was arrested about 12:20 a.m. after a minor accident that took place in the parking lot of Taco Bell at 75th Street and Rickert Drive, Naperville police said.
The driver of the other vehicle told police that he wanted to report the collision to police, but Savini refused, Cmdr. Lou Cammiso said. The driver said Savini pushed him when he took a photograph of Savini’s license plate with his phone, Cammiso said.
Naperville Police Sgt. Ken Gettemy said police identified Savini by his vehicle’s license plate, and arrested him near the intersection of Saratoga and Plainfield Naperville roads.
Savini had two children under age 18 in the car, hence the endangering charge, Gettemy said. “I can’t confirm whether or not either, or both, were his kids,” he said.

If the savini arrest didn’t reek of suspicion, especially with the timing of the EP matter, I would have reported on the Savini arrest yesterday morning when I found out about it. Instead, I am waiting for some answers. I want to know if Savini took a breathalyzer test. Most importantly, I want to know the identity of the supposed victim who is claiming that Fagiano and Wasilenko’s detractor (Savini) caused an accident and committed battery. Perhaps the supposed victim’s last name will lead us to a sinister plot (maybe not). In the meantime, take a look at one example of some of the messages that I have received between last night and this morning on the matter. I have cut and pasted one below. Lastly, regardless of Savini’s personal issues, nothing Savini does could ever change the fact that Wasilenk acquired and cashed a large check (20k) from a resident who suffers from dementia; and was allowed to work as a police sergeant for a long time even after his chief was made aware of the despicable incident. Most of us saw the check with our own eyes.

It’s kind of a stretch to think that Savini was set up. If the incident had happened in EP,Stone Park,Melrose Park area it would indeed be suspicious. The incident allegedly occurred in Naperville at a Taco Bell and Savini was pulled over and arrested over 4 miles away. I love a good conspiracy as much as the next guy,but way too many things had to fall into place for this to be a set-up.
Exlurker, all I am saying is that I would like to see who the 911 caller is to see if its someone with the last name Fagiano (I am merely making an example to get my point across – I do not believe the caller is really a Fagiano). I am not suggesting that the Naperville police are part of a conspiracy. If I followed you to Florida and arranged to bump your car with mine and called 911, claiming you hit my car and pushed me, the Florida police department would have no role in it whatsoever. But we are way ahead of ourselves. Let’s see what happened. Let us see if there are breathalyzer results and security camera footage at Taco Bell. So far, the allegation against Savini are no where near the allegations against Wasilenko, as Wasilenko’s allegations are accompanied by a cashed check for 20k that most of us saw with our own eyes. CBS 2′s Dave Savini Pleads Guilty To DUI Charge

CHICAGO (CBS) — CBS 2 investigative reporter Dave Savini pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Savini was arrested on Jan 4 by Naperville police after a minor car accident in a restaurant drive-thru.
Savini was cited for drunken driving, hit and run, battery and child endangerment.
On Tuesday, a special prosecutor dropped all but the DUI charge.
In a plea agreement, Savini was sentenced to 12 months of court supervision.
He also agreed to pay $3,185 in fines and fees. He will also pay
restitution, perform 200 hours of community service, attend a victim
impact panel and receive alcohol counseling.
His driver’s license was suspended for six months.
In a statement issued through his attorney Savini said, “I made a
mistake and used bad judgment to drive after drinking. I take full
responsibility and I apologize. I deeply regret it.”
Savini has been off CBS 2 since Jan 4.
CBS 2 management said on Tuesday that he will return to work next week.

Judging by the fact that a breathalyzer score was not released in any of the media reports on Savini’s DUI arrest, it might not be the dumbest thing to do if one assumes (temporarily) that Savini did not partake in a breath test. How many times have we read about a celebrity getting arrested the night before and blowing a whatever number? No mention of a breath score on Savini, despite so many other details that were released about his arrest tells me that it might be the cops call on whether Savini appeared intoxicated. I reserve the right to be totally wrong. 😉 We’ll see soon enough.
Savini did submit to a breath test and blew a .134.
