On January 6th, 2014, Elmwood Park, Illinois, Village President Skip Saviano behaved like a spoiled brat as he failed miserably in serving the Village of Elmwood Park as a responsible, professional and respectful host of the bi-monthly village board meeting. As the meeting began, Saviano swiftly and conveniently relied on his hired mouthpiece, Village Attorney Michael Durkin, to read off a long explanation regarding the Elmwood Park Police Sergeant John Wasilenko matter.
If you are unfamiliar with John Wasilenko’s fiduciary shenanigans, click here to read more.
In his prepared statement, I believe Durkin attempted to hoodwink the public by assigning credit to the Village of Elmwood Park for supposedly setting up a special alert at some unknown point in the past on the bank account of the victim. This alert purportedly notified law enforcement of the alleged fraud in question. Conveniently for Elmwood Park, the poor, elderly resident/victim is unable to corroborate this information (or deny it) because he is not in his right mind. In addition, Durkin offered no evidence whatsoever to prove his 11th hour claim that Elmwood Park saved the day in the Wasilenko matter.
Prior to this feeble attempt to whitewash history, Durkin tried his best to prop up Elmwood Park Police Chief Frank Fagiano by saying the chief had “numerous” and “repeated” contacts with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, as if that means something important and/or productive to the prosecution of Wasilenko.
To me it looks as if Fagiano might have been paranoid and unwilling to remain out of the loop on the status of the investigation for too long. Personally, I’d love to see a list of names of the various Cook County investigators that Fagiano communicated with on this matter (I know of at least one former Elmwood Park Police Officer who is well connected to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office).
In addition, Durkin seemed to genuinely expect his audience to buy his explanation about why Wasilenko was kept on the department for roughly one-year after the village discovered the alleged 20-thousand dollar fraud. According to Durkin’s embarrassing explanation, there was some mention that there was a “need” to keep the investigation “confidential.”

There are some odd comments coming in on one of ANP’s comment threads by a person called WildBill (click here to find it: http://americannewspost.com/frank-coconate/7535/re-elmwood-park-sgt-wasilenko/ ). Please let me know if anyone knows about the information WildBill has reported. Thank you. J
I know that WILDBILL’s use of caps is brutal. Writes and sounds like a schizophrenic.
HN,
schiz? lol come on…
Because what read on the internet is real….
Is what written real?
Has anyone heard that Cook County Commissioner Pete Silvestri might be indicted soon?
You mean inducted… Made man?
I have not heard but do hope he, for the good of our United States of America and for the good of Cook county, snitches on his “boss” John Daley (D). Silvestri is RINO who uses our government office against citizens, using government for himself.
Thanks for exposing this political scum which is the EXACT reason why and how we have Barack Hussein Obama in our White House of our United States of America.
