ATTENTION PUBLIC: Chicago Attorney Arthur “Art” Engelland! Fraudster? See Update At Bottom!

Public: Please be advised that Chicago attorney Arthur “Art” Engelland is presently being prosecuted by the Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois (ARDC).

The ARDC has indicated that in 2010 Engelland collected well in excess of twenty-thousand dollars from a client named Nick Canini. Said funds are now the subject of the prosecution that Engelland faces.

According to the ARDC case in question, Engelland is being prosecuted on charges involving “Failing to return funds…” “dishonesty, fraud, deceit/misrepresentation” and “misappropriation of client funds.”

Interestingly enough, these charges are the least of my concern at this time. I am extremely troubled by information reported to me about some of the capable and traitorous individuals associated with Engelland. Two of these individuals are Chicago Outfit operative Albert “Albie” Vena and Outfit associate Robert “Bobby” Dominic, and they seem to care a great deal about Engelland’s well being. Sources have told me that both Outfit figures are plotting to do “whatever it takes” to get Engelland off the hook.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Albie, a simple Google search of his name will quickly show you his capabilities as a thug.

In addition, a source proved to me that the clout-heavy retired Cook County Judge Joseph Casciato is suspected by some of allegedly advocating for Engelland within his powerful network of allies who are close to the Illinois Supreme Court.

If anyone in the FBI Office in Chicago is looking for something to do, I suggest that they look into this ARDC matter concerning Art Engelland. Thank you.

January 2015 update:

On January 5, 2015, the Illinois ARDC publically confirmed that Arthur Engelland was placed on probation for his numerous serious misdeeds referenced in the article above. Engelland’s term of probation is contingent upon an order that he carefully follow several important conditions. Retired Cook County Judge Joseph Casciato took a role in advocating for Engelland, which is indicated in the ARDC’s published ruling. ANP suspects that Engelland, who is an octogenarian and probationer, garnered some leniency for his serious misdeeds because of alleged cognitive and intellectual problems that are possibly affecting his health. Those who are interested in seeking legal aid from Mr. Engelland are hereby advised to visit the Illinois ARDC’s website to review Arthur Engelland’s official record before possibly jeopardizing your money. Once you get to the ARDC website, go to the Rules and Decisions page and insert the attorney’s name. You may also telephone the ARDC at (312) 565-2600 for verification of the serious wrongdoing by Art Engelland.

If you want a PDF of Mr. Engelland’s entire prosecution and sentence by the ARDC emailed to you, please send a request to jfosco@americannewspost.com.

Thank you.

ANP is proud to serve you.

  1. Frank interesting article! I looked up Art Engelland on the IL ARDC website. It reveals that his Bank of America account was overdrawn by $774.78 shortly after he received over 20-grand from his client. As far as I knew, Art always paraded around the city boasting that he lives on Michigan Avenue and that he plays house with a doctor who is slightly younger, as if he were a well-to-do stud. Just goes to show you that a book must never be judged by it’s cover (or by those who proclaim to be well-to-do). I heard Art spends time on a farm out west that he purports to own. At this point I have to wonder if someone else is the genuine owner. Google searches reveal that Art is involved in the race horse racket quite extensively. At this point, one must ask if his apparent financial shortcomings are in part the product of a pathological gambling epidemic? After reading the ARDC’s case against him, I hope the old coot is disbarred. This complaint would have been great ammunition for former Chicago Alderman Burt Natarus when Art ran against him several years ago. However, Natarus proved that he didn’t need much ammunition against Art. Natarus clobbered him in the election. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that Art lost to Natarus. After seeing as how Art purportedly manages money, I think that if he had control over taxpayers money he would have likely gone to prison by now (just my opinion).
