Defeating Defamation: The Doctor’s Been Denied!

Dr. Joseph Giacchino

In 2008, Dr. Joseph L. Giacchino filed a bogus lawsuit against me for defamation.

Giacchino contended that I made false statements when I:

1) reputed the commission of crimes by Giacchino, including but not limited to extortion
2) attested to his lack of ability as a physician
3) stated that Giacchino claimed I had caused prejudice to him in his profession as a physician
4) pointed out Giacchino’s link to organized crime and
5) alleged, in a general sense, that Giacchino was a drug dealer.

It was Giacchino’s claim that I caused an injury to his reputation by making the statements related to the information indicated above.

Now that I won the lawsuit, I would like to state for the record that the injury to Giacchino’s reputation was self-inflicted.

  1. Joe,
Just when I think your articles can’t get better they do ….!!! Like your respones on the early commint on if you where in G’s shoes and G stands for GREDDY

  2. Joe, what’s the story with the new site?

I see we may have lost some of the comments to articles?

  3. The pic of ex Dr G seems to say “…that’s Dr Evil to you… I didn’t go to 7 years of Evil Medical School for nothing”

  4. Why are you not calling this guy out for running his practice for cash over the counter. If you afraid people will go you can tell them its $375 per visit, no insurance accepted and that doesn’t count what you meds cost you! This is a worse cost then if you were buying off the street. My one buddy that got the boot tried to go back and we denied by G himself! Didn’t think you would hold back this info when he’s raking more cash then ever; while not working and dictating someone else to ruin their lisence on G’s patients!

  5. As I read the court documents, having a counterclaim dismissed without prejudice is not a “win”. Considering your own (primary) suit was dismissed with prejudice on the merits, I find it funny you claim a win.

      Dear Legal,

Having any claim dismissed is a win for the party facing the charge.
