Two of my sources on Chicago Outfit matters told me that Castle and Rudy Fratto have a connection from the 1960s stemming from their school days at Oak Park-River Forest High school in Oak Park, Illinois. These sources further explained that Fratto became aware of my connection to Betty through the media and aware of Betty’s new job with Castle, also through the media. Because of the articles on Fratto that I have published over the past couple of years, along with the civil RICO complaint that I filed against him and his criminal colleagues last year, Castle was purportedly forbidden to continue doing business with Loren-Maltese.
For those of you that want to know who my sources are on these matters, I am obligated to protect their identity. However, if Mr. Castle decides to file a bogus case of libel against me over this article, I may be forced to subpoena some very interesting people in my defense. Really, I am very sympathetic to Mr. Castle’s predicament. I too have been victimized by the Outfit. I hope one day he has the courage to stand up to these bullies, and I would be glad to offer him the same platform as Betty so he may speak out against his tormentors.
The only good thing that has come from all of this, according to Betty, is that maybe the Outfit will finally leave her alone. I hope that some other car dealership in the Chicagoland area, one not intimidated by the Outfit, will offer her a similar job. Betty clearly proved herself to be a valuable asset to Castle Buick’s business exposure. Any car dealer looking for a saleswoman who will advertise their product would be foolish not to consider her.
