When we ask ourselves, “how can we stop a fraudster from targeting someone,” we must also ask ourselves, “how can we stop a pedophile from abusing a child, or, a rapist from abusing another person?” How do we decide who the criminal is without being offensive and insensitive to either party? This is not a simple problem and it is a very painful experience for the real victim. We look at the evidence, we weigh the facts, we ask questions and we take time to think. These are serious matters – we need to get to the bottom of things. At different times one party may feel threatened, while the other party may feel vindicated and/or legitimized. The process is quite difficult and the sad part of it is that both parties are almost always focused on money, in addition to the pain and healing involved.
I would like to bring attention, in prayer, to those who have been abused by priests and other clergy. Please ask God to reach these people so they understand their church needs them to serve the Lord now more than ever. Moreover, I would like to bring attention, and thanks, to the thousands of priests and other clergy members across the nation and in the world who have selflessly served the church by doing the Lords work and teaching its followers a great deal. These scores of good Christian men and women, the great and overwhelming majority, have never once possessed a thought of harming a child. Please let us not be distracted from the Lord’s messages because of the small number of evildoers. Instead, we must unite and stand strong for all, in the name of the Lord
I trust that Francis Cardinal George and Jeff Anderson Esquire have finally figured out what occurred in the past. I can see how difficult it has been for both of these fine men and I understand how making decisions on matters of such importance can be very confusing and time consuming. I trust that we have learned enough from these matters to prevent further nightmares like these from occurring in the future. We must now unite, move forward and allow the healing process to continue as we journey on in serving our Lord, eternally standing strong.
