Tough Economic Times… That’s Life!

As I sit here, trying to think of a way to save the world (and I have not been up all night drinking coffee), what comes to mind is God. During tough times like these, we need to increase our commitment to God, starting with keeping excellent attendance at Mass. Calling our church asking what we can do to help. If all of us take a part in helping, in whatever way God allows us to serve, I think this financial hell that we are in will cool off a great deal. At the very least we will be busy helping others, and that should give us pause to consider that, even in these tough times, there are people worse off than us.

Some people get their kicks,
Stompin’ on a dream.
But I don’t let it, let it get me down,
‘Cause this fine ol’ world it keeps spinning around.

Those of you that have the extra money to spend on 4 star vacations, designer handbags and expensive automobiles, please, use a little bit of your good fortune to help someone that needs a hand. Perhaps you know someone that has a young family or a sick child that could use a little help. For those of you that do help others, ask yourself if you can help a bit more. God will reward you with good things, but the greatest reward is the positive feeling you will get from helping others.

  1. WONDERING YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE CITYS REFUSAL TO ALLOW A WALMART IN CHATAM: $5M IN ANNUAL TAX REVENUE, 200-300 JOBS, A PLACE TO BUY CHEAP QUALITY PRODUCTS & FOOD INCLUDING FRESH PRODUCE AS THIS IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. WHEN WILL THE CHICAGO DEMOCRATIC PLANTATION STOP PAYING LIP SERVICE AND PRACTICING SOCIAL ENGINEERING? AND START ENACTING POLICIES THAT WILL ASCEND THE POOR RATHER THAN MAINTAIN THIS PERPETUAL WELFARE STATE CYCLE! -WHICH FOR SOME REASON KEEPS VOTING FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PLANTATION AGAIN AND AGAIN.

    Dear Mr. White,
My thoughts on Daley in general are not good. My thoughts on Chicago’s Democratic machine are not good (and a union official raised me).
The other day I received a call from an automated attendant conducting a survey on the Walmart matter in Chicago. In all honestly, I knew very little about it at the time, however, I answered ‘yes’ that I am for it, not against it. When I was giving my answer the thought that came to mind was, ‘why would any reasonable person be against business development’?
    Sincerely,
    JF
