“Groundhog Day is OURS!!!!!!”

Being no fan of the current (or really, to be fair, any federal) administration, I find this whole flap intensely amusing. President Obama and his staff of media experts really brought this terrible mess upon themselves. They devalued the president’s airtime through constant, and often entirely pointless, televised speeches and post-election stumping. Since he was elected not on his good merits, rather his good looks, suave TV smile and Internet savvy appearance, why wouldn’t he preempted by the next shiny bauble to come down the wire?

And, indeed, he was – by Charlie Salinger from Party of Five.

Fear not, though. There is hope. The current administration has repeatedly shown it has tremendous pull with the major networks. Maybe President Obama could get a guest appearance on the show as Jacob’s mystery twin. Heck, bring Nancy Pelosi on as Kate’s half-sister and Harry Reid can be Sawyer’s real dad! One could make the case that the DNC is already “Lost”, so the roles shouldn’t be a stretch.

  1. Dear Theo,
I would be careful if I were you. State Senator Jimmy DeLeo might not appreciate your hard comments about his friend Obama. Do you know that DeLeo is tight with the Chicago Outfit?
